Another day, another new song snippet courtesy of Lana Del Rey. On Friday (Jan. 11), just a few days after releasing her sixth song from her upcoming new album, the New York-born songstress took to Instagram to debut a snippet of another new tune. Reportedly titled “Happiness is a Butterfly,” the posted clip looks like it may be a short teaser of the song’s music video.
As per the caption that accompanies the post, the video features not only Del Rey, but also her bandmates/dancers Ashley Rodriguez and Alexandria Kaye. Also listed in the caption is Del Rey’s younger sister and the director of the “Mariners Apartment Complex” music video, Chuck Grant. If the clip posted on Instagram is in fact the song’s music video, then it looks like Grant may be back in the director’s chair for this song’s music video.

If “Happiness is a Butterfly” is in fact another new song to be featured on Del Rey’s forthcoming new album that would bring the grand total of released songs to seven.
“Happiness is a Butterfly” will join “How to Disappear,” “Venice Bitch,” “Hey Blue Baby,” “I Must Be Stupid for Feeling So Happy,” “Mariners Apartment Complex,” and “hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me…but I have it” on Norman Fucking Rockwell.
Norman Fucking Rockwell is the follow-up to 2017’s Lust for Life. No specific release date has been given, but Del Rey did tell fans last week that the album was complete, so we should probably expect the album sometime this year.
