The Killers to release career-spanning box set

For kids raised in the 2000s, it’s hard to believe that it has almost been 15 years since “Somebody Told Me” and “Mr. Brightside” were constantly blasting from our MP3 players and on a constant loop on our favorite music channels (FUSE and MTV2 anyone?). With such a lengthy discography since the days of us screaming the lyrics to both songs, it’s not at all surprising to see why the Killers have decided that it’s time to release a career-spanning box set on vinyl.

On Friday (April 20), the Las Vegas-founded band took to social media to announce the massive release. On Instagram, they post a short video with the names of all their album in neon lights while the caption simply reads, “It’s all here on wax in one fabulous box.”

The collection will include all five of the Killers’ records including 2004’s Hot Fuss, 2006’s Sam’s Town, 2008’s Day & Age, 2012’s Battle Born, and the recently released Wonderful, Wonderful. The release will also include 2007’s Sawdust (the band’s collection of B-sides, covers, and remixes) as well as Live from the Royal Albert Hall, a two-disc LP which was recorded during their show at the Royal Albert Hall in London in 2009.

The massive box set is scheduled to be released on June 15 through Island Records. Pre-orders are currently available on the band’s website.
