Listen: Emarosa drop new track ‘Don’t Cry’

Emarosa have returned with another new song from their upcoming new album. On Wednesday (Jan. 9), the Kentucky-founded band unleashed the audio for the second single off their forthcoming album, Peach Club. Titled “Don’t Cry,” the new tune follows in the footsteps of lead single “Givin’ Up” by confirming to longtime listeners that “post hardcore Emarosa is dead.

Unlike “Givin’ Up” which drew a lot inspiration from dance-centric tracks from the 80s, “Don’t Cry” goes in a mellower, ballad-like direction which still could find a home in the 80s.

“‘Don’t Cry’ was the first track written with producer Courtney Ballard,” frontman Bradley Walden tells Loudwire, where the new track made its exclusive debut.

“I remember my roommate saying, ‘This is the best thing you’ve ever done,’ and I felt that too. This song is a lesson learned, you can’t cry over spilt milk. You’ll probably spill it again.”

“Don’t Cry” will join “Givin’ Up” on Emarosa’s new album, Peach Club. The 11-track record is due out Feb. 8 through Hopeless Records. Pre-orders for the upcoming studio effort are currently available on the band’s website where they are offering a slew of bundles. Peach Club is the follow-up to quartet’s 2016 release, 131.

In support of the new album, the band hit the North American road during the last couple of months of 2018. They will once again hit the touring circuit for their European-centric tour. The trek will kick off tonight at the Craufurd Arms in Wolverton, United Kingdom and conclude a few weeks later on Jan. 29 at the TivoliVrendenburg in the Netherlands.

After concluding the European excursion, the group will return to the United States for a handful of album release shows in Philadelphia, Dallas, Mesa, Los Angeles, and Honolulu.
