Lady Gaga Reveals Dark Secret in New Interview

Lady Gaga has always been known for being caring for her fans as much as for her outrageous fashion, but there was something that the Mother Monster had been keeping in the shadows for years; she had been raped when she was a teenager.

During an appearance on the Howard Stern Show, the topic train managed to somehow go to the topic of rape.

“I went through some horrific things,” Gaga admitted to the DJ. “I’m able to laugh now because I’ve gone through a lot of mental, physical and emotional therapy.”

In the interview, she indicates that the dark and horrific experience happened when she was a teenager and was done by a producer who was roughly 20 years older than her.

“I wrote a song called ‘Swine’; the song is about rape,” she also revealed about her track from last year’s album, ARTPOP.

“The song is about demoralization. The song is about rage and fury and passion, and I had a lot of pain that I wanted to release.”

Gaga also told Stern that like many rape victims, she did not want to admit that such a thing had happened to her after the event.

“I wasn’t even willing to admit that anything had even happened,” she admitted to him.

Then, a few years later she revealed she saw her rapist at a store where she froze, “paralyzed by fear.”

It took her years to come to terms with what had happened and reveals that she found solace through therapy, maturation and positive relationships.
