We the Kings announce self-titled ten-year anniversary tour

After teasing some big news late last week, We the Kings has confirmed what they had up their sleeves. On Monday (Dec. 5), the Florida-founded band announced plans to hit the road in the new year to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of their self-titled, debut record. The tour, which has been named the “WTK 10 Tour” will kick off on Feb. 17, 2017 in Nashville, TN and wrap up several months later on May 29, 2017 at the Slam Dunk Festival in Hatfield, United Kingdom.

In honor of the decade anniversary, the band has also revealed that they will play the 2007 release in its entirety. The album, which first introduced fans to the guys from Florida features their breakout hit “Check Yes Juliet,” “Secret Valentine,” and “Skyway Avenue.”

“Press play and let nostalgia kick in, reminding you of the exact time you heard your first We The Kings song…now add every other song from our first album and BOOM that’s a party,” frontman Travis Clark said in a press release. “This is going to be some of the best and most fun shows we’ve ever played and we can’t wait to see everyone who comes out for a night unlike anything we’ve ever done before. Start studying our first album because we’re playing EVERY SINGLE SONG off of it!! See you at the show!”

Pre-sales for the upcoming tour will go on sale beginning this Wednesday, Dec. 5, at 10 am. In addition to normal, general admission tickets, the band will also offer VIP packages for those who want a little something more from their experience. Earlier this year, the band released their greatest hits album, So Far. The compilation of tracks not only features a collection of the band’s hits, but also a unique twist on “The Story of Tonight” from the smash Broadway hit, Hamilton.
