What’s Eating Gilbert Drop “Follow Her Around”

With the release of their new album today, What’s Eating Gilbert are giving those fans who haven’t received their record yet, the chance to stream another new song from That New Sound You’re Looking For.

The new song is titled “Follow Her Around,” and very much like the first single off of the album, “You’re the Most,” the song makes you feel like you’ve transported back in time to the ’50s with poodle skirts, sock hops, and all.

Listen to “Follow Her Around” below.

Just in time for the album’s release, What’s Eating Gilbert kicked off their joint tour with Bayside frontman, Anthony Raneri, yesterday (July 9) in Atlanta. Tonight, What’s Eating Gilbert and Raneri are slated to take the stage at Crowbar in Ybor City, FL.

What’s Eating Gilbert Prove “You’re the Most” with New Video

It’s been a couple of weeks since New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert announced his side band, What’s Eating Gilbert had officially signed with Hopeless Records and would be releasing their debut album, That New Sound You’re Looking For, later this summer.

Now, the WEG frontman has revealed the music video for the first single from the record, “You’re the Most.”

Like the group’s appearance, the video is set up to look like something straight out of the 1950s (think of Grease) with the clothes, appearance, record player in the bedroom, and of course, who can miss the picture of Elvis on the wall.

Check out the video below.

That New Sound You’re Looking For will be released on July 10 through Hopeless Records.

In support of the new album, What’s Eating Gilbert will be hitting the road with fellow Hopeless signee, Bayside’s Anthony Raneri for a month-long summer trek.

After that tour wraps, Gilbert will rejoin New Found Glory for their co-headlining tour with Yellowcard in the Fall.

What’s Eating Gilbert to Release Debut Album This Summer

How do you follow-up two successful tours and a successful new album? By giving your side project a little bit of that love.

New Found Glory’s Chad Gilbert revealed earlier in the day that his side project, What’s Eating Gilbert had not only signed to Hopeless Records, but that they will be releasing their official debut record this Summer.

The debut will be titled That New Sound You’re Looking For and is set to be released on July 10. Pre-orders and the lead single for the record will be available June 2.

“I’m excited to announce that it is finally time for me to release the first full-length What’s Eating Gilbert Album, That New Sound You’re Looking For, on July 10! I say finally because I actually recorded these 12 songs in January of 2014! Why have I waited so long to release it? Well, as most of you know, I play guitar in New Found Glory who have had an action packed last year and a half. Once Hopeless Records told me they wanted to release this album we both decided it was best to release it at a time when I could actually go out and play it for you!”

And he will definitely be able to do now that New Found Glory’s busy schedule has slowed down.

But things don’t end there. Gilbert and the rest of WEG will be hitting the road alongside Bayside’s Anthony Raneri as he embarks on a solo Summer tour.
