Lana Del Rey Releases Full ‘West Coast’ Video

Lana Del Rey might be in the middle of her current tour, but that’s not stopping the singer from finally releasing the first music video from her upcoming new album. It’s been a few weeks since the pop star released a sneak peek at the music video for her first single of Ultraviolence, “West Coast.” The sneak peek feature the same footage being showed again and again, on a loop.

The footage features Del Rey on a beach with a man presumably her “lover” in the video looking at her as she twirls while the full four-minute clip is done in black and white.

Check out the full music video below.

Fans of Del Rey are still waiting eagerly for one of the most anticipated albums of 2014. The album which was produced by Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach, was reportedly set to be released this month, but during her show in Montreal, she revealed the new album will be out “next month.”

Lana Del Rey Drops “West Coast” in the Early Morning

Leave it to Lana Del Rey to hit the stage at Coachella where fans eagerly sang along with her on several of her songs except for “Young & Beautiful” and then within a few hours (at 3 a.m. to be exact) of coming of stage, release a brand new song.

The song? “West Coast,” the first single off of her highly anticipated new album, Ultraviolence.

The official audio for the track comes a few days after the song had been performed live for the first time at  Del Rey’s show in Las Vegas last Friday. At the show, Del Rey teased the audience asking them if she should gift them part of the song or not. Eventually, the audience won out with her singing part of the new song without the backing band.

The live, fan-shot footage can be seen on Vine, but why listen to the that when you have the official audio straight from the album with the accompanying video which features a loop of Del Rey twirling on the beach with her male counterpart standing there.

Ultraviolence will reportedly be release on May 1st, by Del Rey’s own admittance, but you can never be too sure especially since secret albums has become all the rage lately.

Tool Announce West Coast Tour

Fans of Tool, there is some good news and some bad news coming from the band’s camp.

The good news is, the band will be going out on tour. The bad news is, the tour will exclusively be for those living on the west coast and two places in Mexico.

This short west coast tour will be the first time since Summer 2012 that the band have hit the road for a North American tour. Last year, they did hit the road, but only in Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

At the time that the dates had been released, there was no indication of whether or not there would be additional dates added to the already released once which can been seen below or if a new album is currently on the horizon.

The band’s last album was 2006’s 10,000 Days, but if what drummer Danny Carey told Loudwire last July during an interview holds true, there might be a new album headed our way in early 2014.
