Metallica, Disturbed, and Lynard Skynard to headline Welcome to Rockville 2020

welcometorockville_2020_header.jpgWhen you call yourself “Florida’s Biggest Rock Experience,” you better have the evidence to back that up, and the people behind Welcome to Rockville have done just that.

On Tuesday (Dec. 10), Danny Wimmer Presents unveiled the official lineup for the tenth annual Welcome to Rockville, and to say that it’s going to be a rocking weekend may be putting it lightly.

Headlining the decade anniversary of the Florida-centric music festival will be Metallica the Deftones, Social Distortion, Disturbed, The Offspring, Lamb of God, Lynard Skynard, and Godsmack, just to name a few.

Joining the previously announced acts on next year’s roster will be Dropkick Murphys, Rancid, Motionless in White, The Pretty Reckless, Hollywood Undead, Mastodon, Gojira, Anthrax, and many more. More acts will reportedly be announced at a later date.

Metallica’s appearance at Welcome to Rockville is part of an exclusive deal with Danny Wimmer Presents. The joint venture, which was announced in October, will find the iconic metal act headlining all five of the promoters’ hard rock festivals in 2020. They’ve already been confirmed for North Carolina’s Epicenter.

As previously announced, Metallica will headline, not one, but two of the three days (Friday, May 8, and Sunday, May 10). Like with Epicenter, the group will perform two completely different setlists so you won’t hear the same exact songs each night.

As for Lynard Skynard, their appearance at Welcome to Rockville will be their last-ever gig in the North Florida area (aka their home area).

Welcome to Rockville will take over the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida, during the weekend of May 8-10. Tickets are currently available for purchase on the music festival’s website.

If the holiday season has taken your wallet hostage, then you’d be happy to know that Welcome to Rockville is offering layaway options throughout December for just $20 down per pass.

For now, check out the full lineup below.
