All Time Low treat fans to ‘Melancholy Kaleidoscope’

We all may be under house arrest for the time being, but All Time Low is giving us another track to add to our “Quarantine 2020” mix.

On Wednesday (March 25), the Baltimore-founded band unleashed another new song from their upcoming new album, Wake Up, Sunshine. This week, the foursome treated fans to a tune called “Melancholy Kaleidoscope.”

Like many of the songs they’ve already unveiled from the forthcoming album, this track sounds like it could find a home on one of their earlier records (Put Up or Shut Up? So Wrong It’s Right? You tell us).

“Melancholy Kaleidoscope” joins “Getaway Green,” “Sleeping In,” and “Some Kind of Disaster” on All Time Low’s impending eighth studio album. Wake Up, Sunshine is due out April 3 through Fueled By Ramen.

Pre-save and pre-order options are currently available on the band’s website. All pre-orders will include an instant grat download of the album’s singles.

This past weekend, frontman Alex Garskath took to social media to reveal that the band was not pushing the record’s release date. Those who purchased a physical copy of the album from the band’s website will still receive it on the projected release date. For those who bought it on other websites, the expected release date may vary.

Garskath also asked fans to give suggestions on what they would like the band to do to promote the new album since concerts, meet and greets, and signings are currently out of the question.

Last month, All Time Low was confirmed as one of a handful of “emo bands” slated to hit the road for the second annual Sad Summer Music Festival. Joining All Time Low on the road this summer will be The Story So Far, Movements, The Maine, Yours Truly, Grayscale, and Destroy Boys.

With what has been going on, we’re not even sure the tour will go on. But until then, the full list of tour dates can be found here

All Time Low celebrate their fans, live shows in ‘Getaway Green’

All Time Low may have claimed that they don’t negotiate with kidnapping pandas (sorry, Rian), but we guess their tune has changed.

On Tuesday (March 17), the Baltimore-founded band unleashed the third single off their upcoming studio effort, Wake Up, Sunshine. Titled “Getaway Green,” the track sounds like a return to their pop-punk roots, something the group had admitted would be happening on the forthcoming album.

To coincide with the song’s “pressured” debut, the quartet has also unveiled the song’s music video. Instead of taking the theatrical route, like they had done with the previous singles, the band took a simplistic approach by making the three-minute clip all about their fans and the wonder of their live shows.

According to a press statement, the footage for the music video was filmed during the band’s intimate gigs in Boston, New York, Baltimore, Leeds, and London this January.

Pre-save and pre-order options are currently available on the band’s website. All pre-orders will include an instant grat download of the album’s singles “Sleeping In” and “Some Kind of Disaster” (we guess “Getaway Green” will also be included now).

Relationships go to the dogs in All Time Low’s video for ‘Sleeping In’

New All Time Low is heading your way in 3…2…1.

On Thursday (Feb. 20), the Baltimore-founded band unleashed the second official single off their upcoming new album. Titled “Sleeping In,” the three-minute tune made its worldwide debut during Scott Mills’ BBC Radio 1 show.

In a surprising twist (or not because this is All Time Low after all), the foursome released the song’s accompanying music video.

The clip begins with each of the four guys (frontman Alex Gaskarth, guitarist Jack Barakat, bassist Zack Merrick, and drummer Rian Dawson) getting dumped via text at the same time. Each of them has a short flashback montage about happier times, but it’s still not enough to make them feel better (who would after being dumped through text?).

While mourning, Alex spots a lady walking a dog and gets a brilliant idea. Calling up the others dudes who seem to be in similar funks, they all get together and head to the hottest place in town…an animal shelter.

In the end, each of them goes home with a pet to fill in the void left by their exes (Alex got a pony, Jack got a dog, Zack got a goldfish, and Rian got a cat).

The group joined forces with North Shore Animal League America (NSALA) to help raise money and awareness for no-kill rescue and adoption organizations.

The Max Moore-directed clip was shot on location in Nashville at NSALA shelter partner, MACC. If you want to help the puppers, doggos, kitters, and other exotic pets, you can head on over to Metro Animal Care & Control’s (MACC) website here or just donate to your local animal shelter.

Last week, All Time Low formally announced the release of their eighth studio album, Wake Up, Sunshine. The forthcoming studio effort is due out April 3 through Fueled By Ramen.

Pre-save and pre-order options are currently available on the band’s website. All pre-orders will include an instant grat download of the album’s lead single “Some Kind of Disaster.”

Wake Up, Sunshine is the follow-up to 2017’s Last Young Renegade.

Wake up, sunshine! All Time Low is releasing a new album in April

It’s time to wake up, sunshine because we have some big news coming from Camp All Time Low!

On Monday (Feb. 17), the Baltimore-founded band announced plans to unleash their eighth studio album later this spring. Titled Wake Up, Sunshine, the new record is due out April 3 through Fueled By Ramen. Pre-save and pre-order options are currently available on the band’s website. All pre-orders will include an instant grat download of the album’s lead single “Some Kind of Disaster.

Wake Up, Sunshine is the follow-up to 2017’s Last Young Renegade.

According to a press statement, the foursome periodically met up throughout 2019 to work on the forthcoming studio effort. The quartet reportedly worked on the new record at drummer Rian Dawson’s studio in Nashville as well as at a Palm Springs rental house.

“We got back to how we started,” frontman Alex Gaskarth reveals.

“It had been a long time since the four of us made a record under one roof. That became a central theme. We’ve been a band for 17 years. Everybody brought something to the table. A lot of what you’re hearing came from those magic moments together.”

Guitarist Jack Barakat adds, “I think we accomplished something special. By putting our four heads together, we were able to make a classic All Time Low album.”

As per the band, Wake Up, Sunshine will include collaborations from blackbear (“Monsters”) and The Band Camino (“Favorite Place”).

This Thursday (Feb. 20), All Time Low will treat fans to another song off the new album. Titled “Sleeping In,” the track will make its debut on Scott Mills’ BBC Radio 1 show. For those who want to set an alarm, so they don’t miss it, the show begins at 2 p.m. GMT (9 a.m. EST).

The song’s debut will coincide with two recently announced shows in the United Kingdom; a gig at London’s The Garage on Feb. 21 and a show at Leeds’ Brudenell Social Club on Feb. 24.
