Say Anything’s ‘…Is A Real Boy’ to Get Vinyl Treatment

Fans of Say Anything fans just got a great late Christmas/early New Year’s gift. The band will be releasing a special tenth anniversary version of …Is A Real Boy. But this tenth anniversary re-release isn’t just a CD with some extra songs; it’s a full-blown vinyl box set.

This re-release will feature the original album, the expanded album, and a limited edition 7″ which features two songs. The album and the extended album will be pressed into four, 10″ LPs.

“Doghouse Records is excited to announce a special 10 Year Anniversary Edition of Say Anything’s classic album …is a Real Boy. The set includes the 13 original songs from …is a Real Boy, Was A Real Boy expanded edition and the song “Walk Through Hell,” all remastered for vinyl and pressed on four, 10-inch records.

The first 2500 units also include a bonus 7-inch which includes two unreleased songs including “But a Fleeting Illness,” which was a demo from before the album and an acoustic version of “Belt,” recorded in 2004 by Max. All 5 pieces of vinyl are packed in a special box along with an exclusive booklet that includes photos and stories from the period.

Anberlin to Release Special Items in 2015

It’s been a month since Anberlin officially ended their final tour and their career as a band, but now, just in time for the holidays, they have announced that there are major plans brewing for them, though it has nothing to do with new music or a reunion.

Taking to Instagram a few days ago, they posted a black and white photo from one of their final shows with the following message:

“Some very exciting projects we have in the works for 2015; cannot wait to share with you guys (merch, projects, live records, vinyl box set, etc).”

As of now, no other information has been given about the merchandise including price and release dates, but we do know we’re going to have to stay glued to their Instagram since that’s where they seem to be making all these announcements.
