First Eight Minutes of ‘The Veronica Mars Movie’

The Veronica Mars Movie will be hitting theaters this coming Friday and the people behind the film have given fans yet another treat by revealing the first eight minutes of the highly anticipated film.

Fans of the cult hit, were given the first two minutes of the film last week, which was just a general overview of the three seasons that the show was on the air. During their time stint at South By Southwest today, the new preview was released, much to the excitement of the Marshmallows.

The preview is currently being streamed over at Fandango which you can hit up right here and finds us in the midst of Veronica’s new life trying to get a job at a firm with Jamie Lee Curtis as the big boss. We also find out that Veronica did end up going to her dream school, Stanford after giving away all her tuition funds to her mom’s rehab which we all know was wasted.

And how proud are we of her spunk still being present when one of the partners tries to be “coy” in asking about that “sex video” featuring her and Piz in season three? Oh Marshmallows, our little girl has grown up.

Oh, and pay attention to Piz on the radio when he makes reference to being “passé” and starting again with a “Kickstarter campaign.”

Watch the First Two Minutes of ‘The Veronica Mars Movie’

The Veronica Mars Movie is now two weeks away and Marshmallows hitting the theaters to see the highly anticipated film are itching in their seats; believe us, we are definitely one of them.

Just a little while ago, the people behind the film released the first two minutes from the movie on the official Veronica Mars Facebook page. The over two-minute long clip, refreshes people’s memories about just how Veronica became a “teenage P.I.” and her turbulent relationship with Logan.  At the end of the clip, she reveals that a lot has changed since she left Neptune and now she’s a cuddly Marshmallow.

We highly doubt that.

The clip can be seen below and if you haven’t already purchased tickets to see the film’s advance screening, you might want to check that out to see if there are any more at your closest location.

Veronica Mars is Back

Veronica Mars

In less than 24 hours, the Veronica Mars Movie has officially met the $2 million dollar goal that was set by Warner Brothers to finance the movie.

VM Goal

Dear CW, does this prove to you that you shouldn’t have killed the series for one of your super crappy replacements?

The year was 2007 when The CW decided that it would be best to cancel their hit show, Veronica Mars to make space for shows like America’s Next Top Model and others that people probably don’t even remember. While back then the network got their way, to the dismay of “marshmallows” around the world, but it looks like the fans behind the pop culture hit are getting the last laugh.

After years of rumors and speculation of a possible movie to end the series the right way, it was finally confirmed by Veronica Mars herself, Kristen Bell and creator of the series, Rob Thomas, on Twitter that there will be a movie. The catch? Warner Brothers said that if they could come up with $2 million for production then they would take responsibility for all the press and promotion for the film.

Thomas decided to start a Kickstarter page where fans could help by donating any amount money that they could to help support. Thomas said that once the goal has been met that they would instantly start pre-production, meaning filming will start this Summer and make it in time for a 2014 release date.

The Kickstarter page also has a message from Bell who has also been updating fans all day via her Twitter about the campaign.

She writes on the page:

“I am currently the happiest blonde in a hamster ball the world has ever seen. We have been waiting so long to make this movie dream a movie reality, and it’s because of YOUR commitment, YOUR persistence, that we finally have a chance.”

She continues, “we just have one more step to go. You have banded together like the sassy little honey badgers you are and made this possibility happen. I promise if we hit our goal, we will make the sleuthiest, snarkiest, it’s-all-fun-and-games-‘til-one-of-you-gets-my-foot-up-your-ass movie we possibly can.”

If you are a fellow marshmallow and want to donate to “The Veronica Mars Movie” Campaign, head over here to do so.

So far, the campaign has raised over $900,000. So Warner Bros, get your stuff ready, it’s go time.
