Fall Out Boy Give Personal Assistant Time of Their Life in “Uma Thurman”

Fall Out Boy have dropped the music video for their ultra catchy song “Uma Thurman.” But if you’re expecting to see people dancing like Thurman’s character in Pulp Fiction you might be a little disappointed. That aside, the music video is kind of awesome and fun.

The video beings with some contest winner named Sarah getting the chance to become the Chicago band’s personal assistant for 24 hours.

Doesn’t that sound like fun?

Sarah’s day begins with being told to go over to Joe’s house to walk his pet zebras. Yes, Joe (at least in the video) has pet zebras. After that, things get crazy with the band members constantly sending text messages to her to do things like go paintballing, get coffee for Joe, meeting Patrick at a bar for karaoke (in the morning), taking pictures of Pete as he rode a mechanical bull, meeting Andy at the gym for one heck of a workout and much more.

Not going to lie, we would be FOB’s personal assistant if they would pay for our gas. Or we could always take Joe’s car.

Also, keep an eye out for all the special cameos the band got for the video including Panic! at the Disco frontman Brendon Urie who was present when Pete asked for an extra player for paintball.

“Uma Thurman” is featured on Fall Out Boy’s recently released album American Beauty/American Psycho. In June, they will be hitting the road for their “Boys of Zummer” tour with Wiz Khalifa and Hoodie Allen.

Wiz Khalifa Gives Fall Out Boy Track the “Boys of Zummer” Treatment

With Fall Out Boy announcing plans to head out on tour with Wiz Khalifa (and Hoodie Allen) later on this Summer, the band and the rapper have teamed up to remix one of their newly released songs from American Beauty/American Psycho.

The song, the weird but makes you want to get up and dance, “Uma Thurman,” got the “Boys of Zummer” treatment by Khalifa including some EDM beats and, of course, rapping.

Check out the remixed version of the song below.

The “Boys of Zummer” tour will kick off on June 10 in Camden, NJ at the Susquehanna Bank Center and wrap up on Aug. 10 at the Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood.

Fall Out Boy Dance Like “Uma Thurman” with New Song

After revealing that two singles would be released in January (the first of two was last week’s “Irresistible”) in support of their upcoming new album, Fall Out Boy have dropped their second new single of 2015.

The new song is titled “Uma Thurman” and plays a weird tribute to the actress including a line which seems to be a direct reference to her iconic Pulp Fiction character, Mia Wallace (“she wants to dance like Uma Thurman”).

There’s also that sampling of The Munsters‘ theme song which the guys pretty much prepared fans for last week after they posted about it online.

Hey, whatever floats their boat at this point, right?

“Uma Thurman” joins “Centuries,” “American Beauty/American Psycho,” “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” and “Irresistible” on the tracklist for American Beauty/American Psycho due out next Tuesday, Jan. 20 through Isalnd/ DCD2 Records.

Pre-orders for the album are still ongoing and comes with instant downloads of all the five of the singles.
