Foo Fighters Troll Westboro Baptists Church, Again

How exactly does one troll a group that’s made a name for themselves by trolling everyone? Simple, beat them at their own game.Over the weekend, the Westboro Baptist Church were once again at it, protesting the Foo Fighters’ show at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO.

Like many bands who have been protested by the anti-everything group, the Foo Fighters decided to beat the trolls at their own game. In a video uploaded, which can be seen below, the band is heard coming from around a corner blasting Green Day’s “American Idiot.” As the truck they are riding rolls into the frame of the camera, the song changes to Rick Astley’s ’80s dance anthem “Never Gonna Give You Up.”

The truck then stops in front of the protesters and the group starts a small dance party in the bed of the truck. A close-up image shows drummer Taylor Hawkins carrying a sign that says “You Got Rick Rolled. And that they did.

This encounter with the Westboro protesters isn’t even the first time the Foo Fighters have come face to face with the group. Back in 2011, Westboro decided to protest the band’s show in Kansas City following their humorous truck stop shower characters from their “Keep It Clean (Hot Buns)” tour promo. Instead of letting the group get under their skin, the band rolled in, on a flatbed truck, as the truck stop characters and gave the protesters a show.

The 2011 footage can be seen below.

The Foo Fighters are currently in the middle of their North American tour in support of their recently released album, Sonic Highways. Tonight (Aug. 24), the band will stop at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Detroit.

Armor For Sleep Continue Their Cryptic Teasing

The Armor for Sleep guessing game has now gone into day two.

Being as cryptic as they were yesterday, and maybe a little more, an image was uploaded onto Armor for Sleep’s Facebook page with a simple caption reading, “More info soon.”

The image, which can be seen below, features the same exact figure from the cover of What to Do When You Are Dead, but with a twist.

Unlike the image that graces the cover of the band’s 2005 release, this image solely features the body of the figure floating in pure darkness. The body, on the other hand, counters the black background with a galactic pattern within the outline of the body.

What has jump started the hearts of many AFS fans is probably the writing on the image. Above the figure, we see the band’s name in white, but below it, in green, we see “2015.”

Now, 2015 is more than halfway over, so we’re going to hope that the band will in fact have more information for those of us waiting, patiently, really soon.

Anybody want to take a guess as to what all this means? We’d put our money on a What to Do When You Are Dead tenth anniversary tour, but most of the times, we’re wrong.

Ke$ha Takes on Westboro

kesha

We know that the Westboro Baptist Church are not ones to shy away from showing their distaste for certain musicians; pop stars and bands a like.

Whether it be All Time Low, One Direction or Taylor Swift, once you’re on their hit list, they never go away. Someone should have warned the Westboro tribe that one of those pop stars that they are against is not one to take thing lying down and that’s exactly what Ke$ha did to the horrid group.

The group has been protesting  Ke$ha’s Lincoln, Nebraska, show on Sunday night; assembling with their all too familiar signs condoning homosexuals and even playing their own parody version of Ke$ha’s hit song, “We R Who We R.”

What the disgusting protesters didn’t expect was for Ke$ha to be about two steps ahead of them and their overly predictable protest (well, when they do show up for a protest that is). The glitter-ific singer sent out three of her tank-topped male dancers to sync up their moves to the Westboro’s version of the song which they, of course titled, “God Hates Who You Are” (we aren’t even going to touch that one).

Check out the video below and some of the lyrics as well.

“Dear Lord, burn it up! / It’s about that time to finish up / We’re so sick of their filthiness / They makin’ it all lascivious / We’re just talkin’ truth / We’re tellin’ you bout the sins you do.”

If anyone were to win an award for best trolling ever, Ke$ha might just be coming out on top.
