Brand new ‘The New Mutants’ trailer surfaces online

Rewrites.

Reshoots.

Rescheduling.

To say that 20th Century Fox’s X-Men spin-off “The New Mutants” had hit some roadblocks may be one of the biggest understatements we have ever heard. Years after back-to-back issues plagued the film, it looks like it may finally see the light of day (and we’re using the word may very lightly).

On Monday (Jan. 6), the studio behind the long-awaited film (note, it’s still under 20th Century Fox, not Disney) finally unleashed another trailer for the flick. Described as ““an original horror thriller,” the trailer definitely doubles down on that as we watch our protagonists inside of an isolated and nightmarish hospital as they try to figure out what exactly they got themselves into.

If you’re expecting any X-Men/superhero troupes in the trailer, then you’re going to be let down as it feels more like a horror film than a superhero flick.

Watch the two-and-half-minute trailer above.

Directed by Josh Boone, “The New Mutants” stars Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Alice Braga, Blu Hunt, Henry Zaga.

“The New Mutants” will reportedly hit theaters on April 2, but knowing its history, we’re going to remain skeptical about that.

Watch Peter Parker try to navigate a post-‘Endgame’ world in the latest ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ trailer

Spoiler alert! If you haven’t seen “Avengers: Endgame” (we know there are people out there who haven’t), then we’re going to advise you to turn around and leave because we don’t want to ruin anything for you. If you don’t believe us, check out Tom Holland’s warning at the beginning of the video above.

Okay. Are we good? Great. Let’s continue.

On Monday (May 6), the second official trailer for “Spider-Man: Far From Home” was released. The trailer for the final Marvel Cinematic Universe phase three film begins with our favorite friendly, neighborhood Spider-Man feeling the blowback from the final scenes of “Endgame.”

“Everywhere I go, I see his face. I just really miss him,” Peter Parker admits to Tony Stark’s longtime friend/bodyguard/driver Happy Hogan.

“Yeah, I miss him too. I don’t think Tony would have done what he did if he didn’t know you were going to be here after he was gone,” Happy replies.

After stopping a bunch of crooks inside of a restaurant decked out in his Iron-Spider gear, one of the police officers joke “You going to be the next Iron Man now?” a call back to the fact that the original Iron Man is now gone.

But don’t expect the almost-three-minute trailer to be full of doom and gloom.

We’re finally introduced to Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio who, according to Nick Fury, is “from Earth, just not our Earth.” That small line about a “multiverse” may have just signaled that we may get to see Spider-Gwen and Miles Morales in the future (who knows, right?).

One of the biggest takes from the trailer is that NO ONE wants to talk to Nick Fury if they don’t have to. Happy notices Fury is calling Peter’s phone and neither of them wants to answer it. They end up playing hot potato with the device before Peter sends the eye-patch-wearing former director of SHIELD to voicemail.

“You sent Nick Fury to voicemail?!” Happy says as Peter makes his way out the door.

As with most action movie trailers, we watch as Peter is set on saving his friends as the Elementals cause havoc around them with MJ revealing that she does, in fact, know his secret identity.

As the trailer comes to an end, Fury does leave Peter with one final thought: “Are you going to step up or not?”

“Spider-Man: Far From Home” swings into theaters on July 2. Tickets are now available.

Two New ‘Orphan Black’ Teasers Surface

Orphan Black returns to a television near us in a couple of months and the people behind the science-centric show are doing their best to keep their fans glued to any internet capable device they have.

Today, not one, but two teaser were released for the upcoming third season of the hit show.

Following the original teaser which featured original clone Sarah Manning, each teaser is specific to a clone. The first new teaser features bubbly, soccer mom, Alison on the phone telling the caller that if they mess with the “Hendrixes they will get their butts kicked” something we’re sure she could do.

She also informs all onlookers, through a statically television, that she is “not anyone’s toy.”

The second new teaser features everyone’s favorite nutjob and “seestra” Helena. The images from her clip include flashbacks from the past season when she was kidnapped and a new shot of her in a jail cell with Paul babysitting her.

Similar to what Alison said, Helena tells the world that she is “not their weapon.”

Orphan Black returns to BBC America on April 18, but if you’re still itching for more on the show, follow their official Instagram where scenes from the upcoming season will be posted.

Daft Punk have been dropping hints about their new album for over a month and now, they have given fans just what they wanted; information.

The duo have announced that their new album will be called, Random Access Memories, and is currently up for pre-order on iTunes. The album is currently scheduled to be released on May 21 on Columbia Records’ imprint label, Daft Life Limited. Their union with Columbia was confirmed last month when they changed their website’s colors to reflect the change in record label.

On the iTunes pre-order page, the tracklist is currently blank and the details are minimal at best. The artwork of the two masks together which was released last month, was confirmed to be the actual cover art and the track lengths have been also been released, thanks to iTunes.
