Marvel teases Taskmaster’s introduction in the latest ‘Black Widow’ teaser
When Natasha Romanoff was killed off in “Avengers: Endgame,” the fury fans unleashed was immense, to say the least.
One thing that kept them from burning down the house (of mouse) was the fact that we would be getting a standalone Black Widow movie in 2020.
On Monday night (Jan. 13), Marvel Studios unleashed a new trailer for the forthcoming release, though it does use a lot of previously seen footage. From the second the trailer begins, you can feel the action spy-thriller vibes from the minute-and-a-half clip.
The sneak-peek begins with everyone’s favorite secret agent assassin (Scarlett Johansson) meeting up with her un-biological sister Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh). During their meet up, Natasha tells Yelena that she’s on the run after “trying to do something good” (a callback to the fact that this film is supposed to take place after the events in “Captain America: Civil War” but before “Avengers: Infinity War”).
The action goes into overdrive after we get reacquainted with the rest of Natasha’s family members Alexei Shostakov aka Red Guardian (David Harbour), and Melina Vostokoff (Rachel Weisz). We are introduced to the new generation of Black Widows who seem to be just as deadly as Natasha, Yelena, and Melina, and yes, we get to finally see the Taskmaster in all his glory take on the Red Guardian.

Jared Leto brings Morbius to life in the first trailer for the upcoming blockbuster
Remember when actor Tyrese Gibson took to social media to announce that the first “Morbius” trailer would see the light of day on this dreary Monday?
Could it have been just yesterday that the actor set the Twitter-sphere aflame with the revelation?
Well, yeah, it was. And now it looks like Sony may have another Tom Holland on their hands though we doubt Gibson would care.
On Monday (Jan. 13), the studio that “brought you Spider-Man and Venom” (as it boasts in the trailer) and “in association with Marvel” unleashed the first official trailer for the upcoming flick.
The two-and-a-half-minute clip introduces the viewer to Dr. Michael Morbius, who was born with a rare blood disease that should have killed him, but somehow, he’s managed to persevere. Instead of letting the condition consume him, he decides to take matters into his own hands to help people with the little time he has left.
And thus begins his tale of becoming a living vampire.
Check out the full trailer above, which features several Spider-Man easter eggs and a special cameo at the end.
Is it possible that we may finally get that long-promised Sinister Six film? Only Sony, “in association with Marvel,” knows.
“Morbius” hits theaters July 31.
LOVECRAFT join forces with the cast of ‘The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ for ‘Straight to Hell’
You know how all your family and friends were urging you to move on after October came to a close, and Halloween was no more because “Halloween season is over”?
Well, we’re sorry to report (to them) that spooky season is every single day and that the people behind LOVECRAFT are just as onboard (if not more) as the rest of us creepy-holiday-loving people.
On Friday (Jan. 10), LOVECRAFT joined forces with the cast of Netflix’s “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” to bless (curse?) us all with the music video for their new song “Straight to Hell.”
The clip features Sabrina Spellman herself, Kiernan Shipka, giving us some serious Goth go-go dancer vibes as she performs the song in front of a screen with images of flames, brightly-lit pentagrams, and neon spiderwebs projected on it. In between shots of our favorite blonde witch doing her thing, we see several other important characters like Nick, Ambrose, Prudence, and yes, Harvey with a crop top (why we don’t know, but we’re okay with it).
It also looks like we’re getting a lot of teaser footage from this upcoming season, which makes this strange clip even better.
Check out the music video for “Straight to Hell” above.
In addition to being a standalone music video, the clip was also used to announce the official return of the hit series. “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Part Three” will cast its spell on the streaming site on Jan. 24.
If the music video is giving us any type of hints as to what’s going to happen this season, then we’re (impatiently) waiting for the end of January to get here.
Brand new ‘The New Mutants’ trailer surfaces online
Rewrites.
Reshoots.
Rescheduling.
To say that 20th Century Fox’s X-Men spin-off “The New Mutants” had hit some roadblocks may be one of the biggest understatements we have ever heard. Years after back-to-back issues plagued the film, it looks like it may finally see the light of day (and we’re using the word may very lightly).
On Monday (Jan. 6), the studio behind the long-awaited film (note, it’s still under 20th Century Fox, not Disney) finally unleashed another trailer for the flick. Described as ““an original horror thriller,” the trailer definitely doubles down on that as we watch our protagonists inside of an isolated and nightmarish hospital as they try to figure out what exactly they got themselves into.
If you’re expecting any X-Men/superhero troupes in the trailer, then you’re going to be let down as it feels more like a horror film than a superhero flick.
Watch the two-and-half-minute trailer above.
Directed by Josh Boone, “The New Mutants” stars Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Alice Braga, Blu Hunt, Henry Zaga.
“The New Mutants” will reportedly hit theaters on April 2, but knowing its history, we’re going to remain skeptical about that.
Watch Black Widow revisit her past in the first trailer for ‘Black Widow’
“Black Widow” flies into theaters on May 1, 2020.
The Scarlett Johansson-staring film will not only be the first MCU film of 2020 but also the first flick of the cinematic universe’s Phase Four.
That’s right, we’re going into phase four with a (literal) bang.

Watch Peter Parker try to navigate a post-‘Endgame’ world in the latest ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ trailer
Spoiler alert! If you haven’t seen “Avengers: Endgame” (we know there are people out there who haven’t), then we’re going to advise you to turn around and leave because we don’t want to ruin anything for you. If you don’t believe us, check out Tom Holland’s warning at the beginning of the video above.
Okay. Are we good? Great. Let’s continue.
On Monday (May 6), the second official trailer for “Spider-Man: Far From Home” was released. The trailer for the final Marvel Cinematic Universe phase three film begins with our favorite friendly, neighborhood Spider-Man feeling the blowback from the final scenes of “Endgame.”
“Everywhere I go, I see his face. I just really miss him,” Peter Parker admits to Tony Stark’s longtime friend/bodyguard/driver Happy Hogan.
“Yeah, I miss him too. I don’t think Tony would have done what he did if he didn’t know you were going to be here after he was gone,” Happy replies.
After stopping a bunch of crooks inside of a restaurant decked out in his Iron-Spider gear, one of the police officers joke “You going to be the next Iron Man now?” a call back to the fact that the original Iron Man is now gone.
But don’t expect the almost-three-minute trailer to be full of doom and gloom.
We’re finally introduced to Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio who, according to Nick Fury, is “from Earth, just not our Earth.” That small line about a “multiverse” may have just signaled that we may get to see Spider-Gwen and Miles Morales in the future (who knows, right?).
One of the biggest takes from the trailer is that NO ONE wants to talk to Nick Fury if they don’t have to. Happy notices Fury is calling Peter’s phone and neither of them wants to answer it. They end up playing hot potato with the device before Peter sends the eye-patch-wearing former director of SHIELD to voicemail.
“You sent Nick Fury to voicemail?!” Happy says as Peter makes his way out the door.
As with most action movie trailers, we watch as Peter is set on saving his friends as the Elementals cause havoc around them with MJ revealing that she does, in fact, know his secret identity.
As the trailer comes to an end, Fury does leave Peter with one final thought: “Are you going to step up or not?”
