The toys are back in the first full trailer for ‘Toy Story 4’

The toys are back in the first full trailer for “Toy Story 4.” On Tuesday (March 19), the first official trailer for the upcoming Disney flick debuted on Good Morning America. The two-and-half-minute clip gives us a better look at the storyline for the movie; something that has been kept under lock and key since the first teaser was unveiled in November.

The trailer begins with Woody introducing the toy squad to Bonnie’s newest creation/toy, a self-aware Spork named Forky. Knowing that he was only made for “soup, salad, maybe chili and then the trash,” the utensil decides to escape. Since he is currently Bonnie’s favorite toy, Woody sets out to bring back the Spork, no matter what.

Along the way, he finds Bo Peep —who went missing— in an office. When Woody and Forky sneak in, they are attacked by some toys that look like they may have come from our darkest nightmares. After being saved by Bo Peep (in her new attire), she introduces Woody to a new world where he no longer needs to belong to one child, but a slew of children.

“Who needs a kid’s room when you can have all of this,” Bo Peep tells Woody as she introduces him to the film’s carnival setting.

While taking a look at this new potential world of lost toys, it makes Woody begin to wonder if maybe this might be the best option for him.

“I was made to help a child. I don’t remember it being his hard.”

While this is all happening, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the toys set out to save their missing friends and bring them back to an upset Bonnie.

Tom Hanks and Tim Allen return to their iconic roles of Woody and Buzz Lightyear. Joan Cusack returns as Jessie and Annie Potts as Bo Peep. New to the cast is Keanu Reeves in an unspecified role.

“Toy Story 4” will fly into theaters on June 21.

Watch: Woody and Buzz return in first ‘Toy Story 4’ teaser

If you were having a good morning, then Disney and Pixar have come to change that. On Monday (Nov. 12), the media giants unleashed the first teaser trailer for their “Toy Story” sequel, “Toy Story 4.” Eight years after crying our eyes out as Woody said good-bye to Andy in “Toy Story 3,” the House of Mouse and its partner-in-animation-crime have released the one-and-a-half-minute clip for the forthcoming film.

The teaser includes the return of some of our favorite characters like Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Mr. and Mrs. Potatohead, Rex, Hamm, Slinky Dog, and yes, even the little green aliens. The video finds the group of toys in what looks to be some kind of a dreamy state as they’re holding hands in a peace circle. Each character has a brief moment in front of the camera before it moves along to the next toy.

After announcing that the film will see a summer release date via Slinky Dog’s body, we are introduced to a brand new character named Forky. As if becoming suddenly self-aware, Forky lets go of the circle while screaming “I don’t belong here! I’m not a toy!” Cue the insanity.

In addition to the trailer, the official synopsis for the upcoming movie was released.  The synopsis reads: “Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But, when Bonnie add a reluctant new toy called ‘Forky’ to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy.”

“Toy Story 4” is due June 21, 2019.
