While we patiently await the arrival of the new blink-182 album, former guitarist Tom DeLonge has been keeping busy since his outing. With his Poet Anderson/The Dream Walker series, solo music, and other projects, sometimes you have to wonder if getting himself kicked out of blink was the best option. On Thursday (Feb. 4), the musician revealed that he has more things up his sleeve. Taking to Facebook, the singer posted a video which may just feature a brand new Angels and Airwaves song.
If it is, it should not be that much of a surprise. Last year, he had released a list of projects that he would be working on throughout the year. There isn’t much to the 14-second clip; the camera is just focused on what look like a computer screen with an audio file labeled “OVERLOAD_EODO11216.mp3.” The caption on the post simply read #ChasingShadows @angelandairwaves.”
Check out the footage below.
Earlier in the day, he also revealed that he would be releasing another novel series. This series will be titled Sekret Machines. According to DeLonge, this will be “the true story of the phenomenon [that] will be told within a franchise that involves fiction novels, nonfiction books, and a documentary.”
The first book will be titled Sekret Machines Book 1: Chasing Shadows and will have a soundtrack by Angels and Airwaves. The 704-page novel and the soundtrack will be available on April 5 with pre-orders currently available on To the Star’s website. The novel’s cover art can be seen below.
A month after releasing the lead single from his upcoming solo album, Tom DeLonge has given fans the official music video for “New World.”
The video begins with DeLonge sitting in what appears to be a rehearsal space with a drum kit, a guitars, and a piano in the room. Soon after, we see him get up and start destroying the space with his guitar. Good-bye goes everything including the drums, the piano, the television, lamps; you name it, he destroys it. Soon, there’s nothing on the floor but rumble.
In between shots of him destroying the space, we see him walking down the street, and even into a grocery store, with the broken up guitar put back together with black electrical tape. Best part was seeing him pushing a grocery cart with the guitar just sitting there like a child.

“New World” will be featured on DeLonge’s To the Stars: Demos, Odds, and Ends record due out later this month alongside previously released track, “The Invisible Parade.” With a few weeks left until its official released date (April 20), DeLonge still has one more song pending release, as he promise back at the beginning of March.
After promising to give fans the latest new song from his upcoming solo album, Tom DeLonge has come through.
The former Blink-182 frontman had promised fans during the day that his new track titled “The Invisible Parade” would be released by night’s end yesterday, but sadly, it was pushed back until today. We completely understand from a super busy guy like DeLonge.
Check out the acoustic and somber second “single” from To the Stars…Demos, Odds, and Ends below.
Taking to Instagram (his favorite form of communicating with his audience, we’re sure), DeLonge posted a quick message about who the song was written for.
Now that Tom DeLonge is no longer an official member of Blink-182, the former frontman promised fans he would be releasing some new Blink demos he had been working on as well as some other tracks on a compilation style album titled, To the Stars … Demos, Odds and Ends.
After the dust had settled on the drama surrounding Blink, DeLonge promised fans on Twitter that he would be releasing not only some personal stash songs, but those demos he had been working on for that “no longer happening” Blink-182 album.
Though no official songs have been released, DeLonge has already posted pre-orders on his newly live website. Packages include T-shirts, artwork, and gold-and-yellow splattered vinyl.
Those who decide to go the pre-order route, will begin to receive new music next Monday (March 9) with the tracklist being unveiled on March 16.
Following the tracklist unveil, DeLonge will begin to release new tracks every Monday after that to those who pre-ordered the record until its official release date of April 21.
