We Came as Romans are hitting the road next spring to celebrate their debut album’s tenth anniversary.
The bad news.
This will be the last time you will see any of those tracks on their setlists.
On Tuesday (Nov. 19), the Michigan-founded band announced plans to embark on an anniversary tour to celebrate the decade since they unleashed their debut album, To Plant a Seed. Dubbed the To Plant a Seed 10-Year Anniversary tour, the group will perform at venues across the continent throughout March and April 2020.
The newly announced gigs will include stops in St. Louis, Grand Rapids, Toronto, Montreal, Brooklyn, Baltimore, Atlanta, Dallas, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and more. The over-a-month-long trek will kick off on March 5 at the House of Blues in Chicago and conclude on April 11 at Crofoot in Pontiac, Michigan.
In a post about the forthcoming outing, guitarist Joshua Moore announced that this will be the last time that any track from To Plant a Seed would grace their setlists.
“Over the course of 10 years, we’ve released four other albums, and we’re even working on a fifth! With that being said, we are going to be throwing these songs into the vault of old WCAR — and retiring them from all future setlists after this tour.”
The Devil Wears Prada, Gideon, and Dayseeker will join We Came as Romans during the springtime outing.
Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. local time.
Things have been relatively quiet for We Came as Roman since the untimely death of co-vocalist Kyle Pavone in 2018. Earlier this fall, the group unleashed two new songs, “Carry the Weight” and “From the First Note.”
Their last studio effort was 2017’s Cold Like War.
