It’s been a few months since Thrice released their new album, To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere, and began touring behind the new release. Now, three months after the record hit stores, the band has given fans the chance to watch an exclusive acoustic performance of “Black Honey.” On Wednesday (Aug. 17), the official video of frontman Dustin Kensrue and guitarist Teppei Teranishi performing the acoustic version of the track was uploaded onto YouTube by Sixthman.
The original performance took place on June 10 at Sixthman’s offices in Atlanta, but has just been uploaded onto the video-sharing site. In addition to “Black Honey,” the duo also performed other tracks as part of the Sixthman Sessions; a series created to celebrate Sixthman’s 15-year anniversary as industry leaders in music festivals at sea. Watch the performance below.
Thrice has been keeping busy since the release of To Be Everywhere Is to Be Nowhere. Earlier this summer, they embarked on the first leg of their North American tour for the album. Currently, they are across the pond, touring, and will return in mid-September for the second leg of their North American tour.
The second leg of the tour is set to kick off on Sept. 15 at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco and wrap up a little under a month later on Oct. 8 at the Norvo in Los Angeles, CA. The complete list of upcoming tour dates can be seen below.
