A couple of weeks after surprising fans with a brand new song, Walk the Moon has returned with its music video. On Wednesday (Jan. 23), the Ohio-founded band unleashed the music video for their latest single, “Timebomb.”
Similar to their live shows, the music video is a dream of bright colors, moving shapes, and a lot of dancing that makes it feel like something straight out of the 80s. But, the video is not only performances in Technicolor rooms. In between all the visually appealing footage, the viewer watches as the band members do sometimes end up performing in gray rooms dressed in the drab color, countering the brightness.

“Timebomb” comes more than a year after the release of their fourth studio album, What If Nothing. The album produced a total of five singles including “One Foot,” “Headphones,” “Surrender,” “Kamikaze,” and “Tiger Teeth” which was given the music video treatment back in October.
In support of the album’s release, Walk the Moon has been touring around the world nonstop. The band will kick off their headlining tour tonight with a two-night engagement at the Mercury Ballroom in Louisville. After being on the road for about a month, the trek will conclude on Feb. 17 at the Mill & Mine in Knoxville.
Last week, the quartet was confirmed as Muse’s supporting act for their Simulation Theory North American tour. Originally only set to open for two stops, the band will now open for Muse on every single stop of this leg.
As if touring across the continent throughout the first half of the year wasn’t enough, Walk the Moon will also perform at several music festivals this summer including Alabama’s Hangout Festival during the weekend of May 17-19, Bonnaroo on June 16, and Delaware’s Firefly Music Festival during the weekend of June 20-23.
