‘Doctor Who’ Special to Hit US Movie Theaters

Earlier this week, the BBC announced that the 50th anniversary Doctor Who special, The Day of the Doctor would be played in theaters across the United Kingdom in 3D. Fans of the sci-fi show in the United States were left to wonder if they would be getting the same cinematic treatment for the special like its homeland.

BBC had confirmed that BBC America would be taking the reigns on the cinematic distribution of the special and today, the network had unveiled the several cities and theaters that will be playing the special on the big screen during the Saturday simulcast on November 23.

After the initial broadcast had been made, 300 movie theaters across the country will re-broadcast it that following Monday, November 25 for those who want to see it on the big screen and didn’t get to the first time around.

Tickets for the Saturday simulcast will go on sale tomorrow, Friday, October 25 at 9.am. Eastern time through Fandango.com and Cinemark.com.

‘Morrissey: 25 Live’ Theatrical Screenings

With all the bad things that Morrissey has been going through this year, you known with his tour and stuff, it’s nice to know that some good is coming from this mess; his 25th anniversary concert film.

The concert film titled, Morrissey: 25 Live is set to screen in selected theaters on August 29. The performance movie was filmed during the singer’s intimate show on March 2 at Hollywood High School in Los Angeles and will be his first official film release since 2005’s Who Put The M In Manchester? 

After its theatrical released, the film will see a DVD release through Eagle Rock Entertainment and SpectiCast. For now, you can check out the list below to see which theater near you will be showing the film when it comes out.
