The Summer Set Release New Song, Announce New Album


It’s been a couple of year since The Summer Set released any new music, but things are about to change this spring.  On Thursday (Jan. 21), the Arizona-based band teased on Twitter that some big news would be made later in the day. A little while after the social media post, they unveiled the news fans have most likely been waiting for; there would be a new album coming out in April.

The new record, the five-piece’s fourth studio record, will be titled Stories for Monday and will be released on April 1 through Fearless Records. In addition to the new album’s name and release date, the band released the lead single for the record. The new song is titled “Figure Me Out” and its debut was accompanied by the official music video for the track. Watch the official music video for the song below.

Sleeping with Sirens to Head Out on Acoustic Tour


How does a band that was on a world tour just a month ago follow-up the lengthy trek? By going back on tour, of course.

Sleeping with Sirens announced last night on Facebook that they will be following up their ultra successful co-headlining tour (with Pierce the Veil) by going on another, shorter North American tour. The adventure had been named the “We Like it Quiet Acoustic Tour,” a take on one of their new songs off of Madness, “We Like it Loud.”

The tour will not only feature the Florida band, but also The Summer Set and Nick Santino, formerly of Rocket to the Moon.

Tickets for the show will go on sale beginning today, at 2 p.m. EST on Sleeping with Sirens’ website.

The tour will kick off on June 4 at San Diego’s SOMA and wrap up a couple of weeks later on June 22 in Sleeping with Sirens’ hometown of Orlando at The Social.

The Summer Set and Switchfoot Cover Lorde


Take two alternative bands’ frontmen and give them one of 2013’s most played songs and what do you have?

You have this.

In the video posted below,Brian Dales of the Summer Set and Jon Foreman of Switchfoot covered Lorde’s hit song, “Royals” while performing at To Write Love on Her Arm’s Heavy and Light showcase at the House of Blues on Sunset in Los Angeles two weeks ago.

This was also before Foreman suffered an accident during a show where a fan slashed him while the frontman attempted to crowd surf in San Diego.

Stream ‘Punk Goes Christmas’


Now that Halloween is over and Thanksgiving is on its way, we can hear the faint sounds of Christmas songs on the radio and pretty much everywhere we go.

For a few weeks now, the people behind the Punk Goes…series have been teasing their new compilation which will feature Christmas songs rather than the usual the usual top 40/hip-hop/rap and every other genre songs.

In honor of the holiday which is just under two months away, well, not according to certain mega store which ave already set the Christmas things out and about for purchase, Fearless Records has given fans the gift of being able to stream the full album over at their website.

Punk Goes Christmas was supposed to be released today, officially, but the label gave fans a 24 hour advance hearing which can be heard here.

The Summer Set Release New Music Video


The Summer Set have just started the Journey’s Noise Tour and in honor of that, they have released a new music video for their song, “Jukebox.”

The band had been teasing fans for a little while now about the music video, giving them a complete countdown throughout the day until its premiere time which happened just under an hour ago.

“Jukebox” is featured on their album, Legendary which was released back in April through Fearless Records just in time for them to head out on the annual Vans Warped Tour.

Just this past Monday, the Arizona-based band were featured on a new track titled, “Turn the Night On” from their tourmates, 3OH!3. Full tour dates for the Journey’s Noise Tour can be seen below on the official flyer.

3OH!3 Releases New Song Featuring Tourmates


3OH!3 are about to start their trek around North America as part of the Journeys Noise Tour and in honor of that, the duo have released a new song titled, “Turn the Night On.” Also making appearances on the new track are fellow Journeys Noise tourmates, The Summer Set, Wallpaper and New Beat Fund.

The Journeys Noise Tour is slated to start tonight in Clifton Park, NY at the Upstate Concert Hall and will go all the way through to November 26, where it will end in Los Angeles at The House of Blues.

3OH!3 just finished putting out their new album, Omens, back in June while the Summer Set got the chance to participate at the iHeartRadio Music fest this past summer after fans voted for them to win the iHeartRadio Rising Star Competition.

Warped Tour Releases Tour Sampler


The Vans Warped Tour is just weeks away from launching their 2013 edition of the traveling punk rock tour, but today, the festival have released their free tour sampler compilation on Amazon.

For those excited for the tour or just want some music to get you pumped for your tour date, they can head on over here and find the compilation for free.

This year’s edition of the soundtrack features artist such as Silverstein, Tonight Alive, Go Radio, Bill Talent and many more who will be on the tour.
