The Arcade Fire Announce Arena Tour Dates

arcadefire

The Reflektors or shall we say the Arcade Fire have already done a pretty bang up job of promoting their new album, Reflektor and that was even before the album had been released. Performing in secret clubs and venues with a strict dress code and limited access, it was only a matter of time before the band released the news that they would be going from tiny rooms with people to the hilt to huge arenas.

Just a few weeks after their new album reached the number one spot on the charts, the band have revealed that they will head out on an official tour starting in Kentucky. The tour will begin on March 6 at Louisville’s Yum! Center and run all the way until August 30 where they will conclude that tour run at the Parc Jean Drapeau in their hometown of Montreal.

While some dates have already been released, which can be seen below, the band’s publicist does advise that more dates will be revealed within the upcoming weeks, so just in case you don’t see your hometown on the list yet, like us here, don’t worry because it might be added soon. In the meantime, check out all the confirmed dates.

The Arcade Fire Release Halloween-ish Promo

arcadefire

The Arcade Fire might be doing their super secret show tour right this moment as their alter-egos, The Reflektors, but it hasn’t stopped them from discretely debuting new tracks.

A Halloween themed video has surface online which is only about 30 seconds long. The short promo shows the band all dressed up in their Halloween best performing with some kind of creepy track playing in the background. There has been no officially confirmation that the creepy background track is a new song, but the general consensus is that it is.

If this in fact does turn out to be one of their new song, it will join their first single “Afterlife” on the highly anticipated album Reflektor which will be released next Tuesday, October 29.

While you wait for the album, get in touch with your Halloween side with the band in the promo below.

The Arcade Fire’s newest album might be one of the most anticipated albums of the year while also being one of the most secretive albums of the year, but things might be starting to come to light.

The band who have been cryptic at best about the direction of the album and maybe new sound released another new song yesterday on Zane Lowe’s show titled, “Afterlife.” The song first made its appearance on Saturday Night Live a few weeks back when they were the musical guest on the long running show.

Today, the band released the official lyric video for it which can be seen below.

Reflektor is due out next Tuesday, October 29 and have had a great way of promoting it. Last week, they played a “secret” show in Brooklyn and this week they, performing under the alias of The Reflektors, will perform two shows in Miami.
