Watch Paramore bring Roseville to life on ‘Colbert’

Listen up residents of Roseville! Paramore may be getting ready to hit the road once again next month, but in the meantime, they’re getting in on some television appearances. On Tuesday (May 1), the Tennessee-founded band headed over to “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” to perform their current single, “Rose-Colored Boy.”

Much like the official music video for the tune, the clip begins with a real production assistant doing a live countdown on camera, though this is usually done behind the camera. As the music begins to play around her, frontwoman Hayley Williams looks a little freaked out as if this was all unexpected. As the song continues and the camera pan to the band on the stage, the set up looks like it came straight from the studio where the music video for “Rose-Colored Boy” was filmed with all the polyester clothing, bright, but grungy colors, and the old-school televisions sprawled on some dirty carpet. Watch the live performance above.

“Rose-Colored Boy” is featured on Paramore’s recently released record, After Laughter. Since the album’s release last year, the band has been touring behind it nonstop. This summer, they will hit the touring circuit for Tour 5 alongside Foster the People. The upcoming trek will┬ákick off on June 12 at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre in St. Augustine, Fla. and conclude a month and a half later on July 24 at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo. The complete tour schedule for Tour 5 can be found here.
