DC Fandome event unveils slew of new teasers

Weren’t able to make it to the first (and probably annual) DC Fandome event? Well, there’s no need to worry because we have the trailer for some of the biggest films the DC Universe is slated to release within the next couple of years.

Yup. That includes the upcoming Wonder Woman sequel, “Wonder Woman 1984”, the Zack Snyder cut of “Justice League,” the sequel to the lukewarmly received “Suicide Squad” which includes a heck of a cast, and the much-anticipated first-look at Robert Pattinson as a dark and emo-looking Batman in the upcoming “The Batman” film.

Are you ready? Well, here we go:

“Wonder Woman 1984”:

“Justice League (Zack Snyder Cut)” (coming to an HBO Max near you in four, one-hour installments):

“Suicide Squad 2” (and it’s insane cast listing):

And now, for the dark and moody “Year Two” inspired “The Batman.”

While it was mostly films at the head of the table, the first trailer for the upcoming seventh season of the CW’s “The Flash” series was also unleashed.

DC Fandome will once again go live on Sept. 12, where they will focus more on their television series. Titled “DC Fandome: Explore the Multiverse,” the virtual event will begin at 10 a.m. PST.

Watch the Trailer for ‘Flash vs. Arrow’ Part Two

Last night we saw  the Arrow make his official debut in Central City as Oliver Queen and the rest of Team Arrow (Felicity and Diggle) ended up there while following the show’s new baddie, Captain Boomerang.

While there, Oliver joined forces with Barry Allen and his Flash Crew at S.T.A.R. Labs to take down their baddie of the week, Prism, who brought out the rage inside of Barry making him a self-centered, rude, and all around asshat.

Insert one of the coolest fight sequences we’ve seen or like someone on Twitter pointed out “that was the best action movie I have seen all year.”

Tonight, the Flash Crew will be heading over to Starling City to help Team Arrow take down Captain Boomerang because how else would you sign off for the mid-season than to have one major crossover?

Check out the trailer for tonight’s Arrow which finds Oliver telling Barry that they’re going to do things his way, unlike last night when Oliver lost all control of the situation as well as that question asked last night by Cisco (and every single fan of both series): Who will win in a battle between the two?

According to Barry, he will since when he fights with Oliver, it’s like the Arrow is standing still.

As many television shows are getting ready to go on their mid-season hiatus, two shows are preparing themselves for a massive crossover event that has been teased since the beginning of its spin-off series.

Next week, both of The CW’s comic-centric shows, Arrow and The Flash, will go off the air with a special, two-part finale which finds both superheros appear in each show, once again.

Last night during a new episode of The Flash, The CW released the first trailer for the crossover where we see Barry Allen and Oliver Queen battle it out making fans wonder what led these two guys to go from buddies to enemies.

According to a release from the people behind both hit shows, Oliver tell Barry that he has “a lot to learn,” so Barry sets out to prove him wrong which of course might be the match that lights the fire that results in “The Flash vs. Arrow.”

Check out the first of two trailer for the upcoming special.

“The Flash vs. Arrow” will premiere at 8 p.m. next Tuesday (Dec. 2) on The CW. We’re also betting that we’ll see the trailer for the Arrow counterpart episode tonight during the show.

justicleague

DC Comics has officially taken the war against longtime competitor Marvel Comics to the big screen.

Marvel has seen success in recent years thanks to the big screen adaptations of some of their beloved characters like Iron Man, Thor, and of course The Avengers as a whole. But today, Warner Bros. made an announcement that might result in Marvel and their parent company, Walt Disney, watching their back.

Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tuijihara announced plans for their DC Entertainment properties this morning which included ten DC movies to be released between 2016 and 2020. Three Harry Potter spin-offs and three Lego movies were also announced.

The on slaughter of DC movies will begin with the much-anticipated and talked about (#Batfleck?) Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice set for a March 2016 release date. Originally, the film was supposed to be released in May 2016, but Warner Bros. decided to move up the date to avoid competition from Marvel’s Captain America 3 reportedly due out around at that time.

In August, Warner Bros. had announced nine untitled releases for those years and now we have the official names for each film.

UPCOMING DC COMICS/ WARNER BROS. FILMS (2016-2020):

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – directed by Zack Snyder (2016)
Suicide Squad – directed by David Ayer (2016)
Wonder Woman  starring Gal Gadot (2017)
Justice League Part One – directed by Snyder, with Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams reprising their roles (2017)
The Flash – starring Ezra Miller (2018)
Aquaman – starring Jason Momoa (2018)
Shazam – Dwayne Johnson said he would be playing Black Adam(2019)
Justice League Part Two – directed by Zack Snyder (2019)
Cyborg starring Ray Fisher (2020)
Green Lantern (2020)

Aside from the DC Comics, Warner Bros also announced three Harry Potter spin-offs which are set to be released in 2016, 2018, and 2020, respectively. The films will follow the book series/ film franchise’s mythology based on author J.K. Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them novella.

The first of three films will act as Rowling’s debut as a screenwriter and will be directed by Harry Potter director, David Yates.

The Lego Movie which saw major success earlier this year, will also be coming back with three movies over the course of four years. Ninjago in 2016, followed by The Lego Batman Movie in 2017, and The Lego Movie 2 in 2018.

Watch the First Trailer for ‘The Flash’

The CW announced last week that they would in fact be picking up The Flash starring Grant Gustin as nerdy, forensic assistant Barry Allen aka The Flash. Gustin made his debut as Allen during the first half of the CW’s other DC Comic inspired television show, Arrow and who can forget Oliver Queen’s (Stephen Amell) first words to the future superhero, “do his parents know he’s here?”

Well, things have changed since his debut like being struck by some powerful thing resulting in him being in a coma since his last appearance, according to Oliver’s bubbly IT genius, Felicity Smoak. While fans of Arrow were given the season two finale which we will not spoil for those that haven’t seen it yet, they also teased and gave us the first look at Gustin as The Flash, not just Barry.

Check out the first look below which at first you might think is just a preview for Arrow rather than The Flash.

And also keep in mind the phrase “show-off.”
