Whether you like Pitbull or not, we all have to admit that “Mr. Worldwide” is making it his mission to actually be known as Mr. Worldwide, for real (unlike now, when it’s just his self-proclaimed title).

The rapper has announced the line-up for his New Year’s Eve party which will air on FOX to help bring in 2015.

As always, Pitbull will return home to Miami to host Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution which will broadcast live from the Thompson Hotel (formerly The Crown) in Miami Beach on Dec. 31.

As of now, the performers of the evening will include his tour mate and close friend Enrique Iglesias, Fifth Harmony, Becky G. and two bands that do not seem to fit the bill; The Band Perry and Fall Out Boy.

For those tuning in, the show will air live from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. with a one hour gap for the local news to air.

Then, the New Year’s Eve party will pick up once again at 11 p.m. for the celebration and wrap up at 12:30 a.m. well after the new year has begun. For those living in any other time zone, the show will be tape-delayed

Remember when we first revealed that Fall Out Boy would be joining the Band Perry in the CMT show Crossroads? It looks like the song that both groups will be performing as part of the show has been revealed as Queen’s “Fat Bottomed Girls”

A few weeks back, it was announced that Fall Out Boy would be making an appearance on the country music show that team country music artists with other artist from a completely different genre. The Band Perry had been chosen as the country music artist for this edition of the show while the rock band had been chosen as the “other” group.

At the time, the show had not announced when the taping would be taking place, but apparently one of the two tapings of it had already happened because there has been a leaked performance of the song. According to CMT’s website, the recording of that performance actually took places last Wednesday, October 2 at Nashville’s famous hang out place, Rocketown.

Watch as the two groups come together to cover one of the most iconic bands’ song here.

CMT’s Crossroads featuring the Band Perry and Fall Out Boy is scheduled to air on November 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Think you’d see the day when Fall Out Boy would appear on a country music channel?

If the answer was “No,” then you might be many of us who were a little surprised when it was announced that the band would in fact be participating on a CMT show titled, Crossroads.

Crossroads has been on the country music channel since 2002 and showcases country artists getting paired up with musicians from other genres. Typically the premise of the show is to get the two sets of artist to collaborate with one another, usually in the form of both sets cover one of their original songs, and then perform the material in an intimate setting.

The country music artists that will be working in cahoots with Fall Out Boy fort he show will be country trio, The Band Perry. The Band Perry rose to mainstream fame back in 2010 when they released the hit song, “If I Die Young.” Ever since that song hit the radio waves, they have had multiple successes with several platinum singles and two successful albums.

As of now, the only information that has been given about the show is that the private taping will take place on Wednesday, October 2 at Rocketown in Nashville, TN. The air date for the special is also unknown at the time, but like most big news, Fall Out Boy will probably be the first to break the news on their Twitter or website, so keep an eye out on it.

For those that might be in the area and might want to get some ticket, head on over here and see if you can still get them.

Now here comes the big question, what do you think about the match on this one? Is it a hit in the making or a major miss?
