In the last two days, we have gotten two tracks from the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2 soundtracks. Yesterday morning, one of the tracks from the album, “It’s On Again” was released. The song which featured Alicia Keys, Pharrell, Kendrick Lamar and Hans Zimmer.
Yep. You read that right. The song features Lamar rapping and Keys singing over her piano playing and then it goes to Zimmer and his famous orchestra while at the same time you can hear the disco/hip-hop influence in the song.
Today, another song from the motion picture that is slated to hit theaters next month was released. “Here” once again features the work of Pharrell who instead of producing the track takes a front seat and sings and Zimmer. Instead of sticking to the hyper-disco dance sound that the first track had, “Here” is more of a ballad and featured former Smith’s guitarist Johnny Marr.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Soundtrack will be released on April 22 through Columbia Records and will feature several other artists than just Pharrell; the Neighbourhood, LIZ, and Phosphorescent will also be contributing to the soundtrack. As for the film, it is scheduled to be released on May 2.
“You want to play the hero? Now, you pay the price.”
That’s the first voiceover that you hear on the newest international trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The new trailer begins with our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man (played by Andrew Garfield) swinging around New York City, doing what he does best. The hoots and cheers are short-lived and soon replaced by the creepy line uttered by Electro and we are introduced to Harry Osborn (played by Dane DeHaan).
“Your father spends more time watching you than me” says Osborn when he reveals that his father has been keeping a close eye on his best friend. The trailer also reveals what we probably already knew, that our web-slinging superhero does not have to battle one, but a couple of them including the already mentioned Electro, Rhino and if you look closely towards the ed, The Green Goblin.
Watch the full trailer below and let’s hope that this doesn’t end up becoming a disaster like Spider-Man 3 was with too many villains.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to be released on May 2.

If you, by some chance, were a little confused or wanted to know a little more about the trailer and such, director Marc Webb as well as Garfield and Stone, all participated in a commentary version of the trailer all thanks to Total Film magazine.
“One of the tricky things is translating characters from the comics that work as illustrations into a three-dimensional reality on a New York street, and often things that work quite well as a drawing don’t make sense in the physical world,” Webb explained in one part of the trailer.
