Watch: Stranger Things season three trailer includes sun, fun, and a Demogorgon

It’s time to put your favorite cassette into your sibling’s stolen Walkman because we’re about to take a trip back to Hawkins, Indiana. On Wednesday (March 20), Netflix released the first full trailer for the upcoming season of their smash hit, “Stranger Things.”

The teaser finds the crew celebrating their freedom from school and evil, at least for the time being. The three-minute-clip includes a look at how Max and Eleven have been integrated into the group. How Eleven and Max’s friendship has grown. The impact of having girls in the group has on the once strong-friendship (especially for Will and Dustin). How Dustin and Steve’s brother figure connection has evolved since the end of season two. And how Joyce and Hopper’s budding relationship is going.

But because this is “Stranger Things,” don’t expect the big bad of the season to be jealousy. Halfway through the clip, the carefree aura of summer vacation switches as Hopper tells an unknown person (we’re led to believe it’s either Joyce of Eleven) how he still wants them to feel like Hawkins is still their home. As Hopper’s voice is heard, a clip of a man with a gun in a funhouse plays. We also can’t forget our introduction to an evolved and freaky-looking Demogorgon.

As the tagline for this season says, “one summer can change everything.”
