Halestorm, In this Moment, New Years Day, and Stitched Up Heart are about to take girl power out on the road for a massive tour this spring. On Tuesday (Feb. 20), the female-fronted bands announced a joint tour that will find all four acts performing across the United States. The upcoming tour which is simply going by “Halestorm, In this Moment, New Years Day, Stitched Up Heart: Live in Concert” will kick off on April 30 at the White Oak Music Hall in Houston. After spending a couple of weeks on the road, the excursion will wrap up on May 15 at the Delatplex in Grand Rapids. According to the band, additional dates will be added to the tour.
“We’ve been wanting to put together a tour like this for a long time,” begins Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale in a press statement. “We are a few of the hardest working women in rock, so the fact that we are all on the same stage every night is something not to be missed! We support and love each other, and we are representing our genre. This lineup is a beautiful display of what it means to be a strong female example for rock fans everywhere.”
“I am very excited about being a part of such an empowering, divine, female-fronted tour,” echoes frontwoman Maria Brink. “It is very rare in rock music to have a movement like this and the timing couldn’t be more perfect. Lzzy and I are already discussing the possibility of more tours like this in the future. Let the Amazons rise!”
New Years Day frontwoman Ash Costello added, “I am beyond thrilled to be sharing the stage with such strong women. Having toured with both Halestorm and In This Moment already, they are such powerful forces, it’s just incredible to be a part of every night. I’m very excited for an all female fronted tour, because in all my years of touring, this is the very first time I’ll have been a part of one. I can’t wait to walk on stage and feel the support of a crowd that is there to witness women of rock slay for an entire evening. What an evening it will be! You won’t want to miss this tour, I can promise you that.”
“This is our dream lineup,” said Stitched Up Heart frontwoman Mixi. “Every single band on this bill is a huge inspiration to us and unbelievably talented. We are beyond excited for this run!”
Prior to embarking on the tour, Halestorm will perform at sister Florida music festivals Welcome to Rockville in Jacksonville on April 27 and Fort Rock in its new home of Fort Lauderdale on April 28. Halestorm will also stop by North Carolina’s Carolina Rebellion mid-way through the tour on May 5.
Tickets for the upcoming tour will go on sale beginning this Friday, Feb. 23, at 10 a.m. local time. For more information about the upcoming excursion, head on over to Halestorm’s website here.
Last month, In This Moment and New Years Day embarked on the “Witching Hour” tour which concluded its run earlier this past week.
As for Halestorm, the band is currently in the process of finishing up their fourth studio album. During a recent interview with Eddie Trunk for his Trunk Nation show, Hale and guitarist Joe Hottinger not only revealed that they were almost done with the album, but that it’s the heaviest stuff they have ever done.
