Dropkick Murphys Give Impromptu Show at Airport

Imagine sitting in a boring airport, waiting for your flight to be called to begin boarding when all of a sudden, you hear some live music playing from down the corridor, but not just any music, upbeat music that you expect to hear at your neighborhood pub.

That’s what we imagine happened last night when the Dropkick Murphys decided to give some unsuspecting people in a Boston airport (Logan Airport) an impromptu concert.

The band, who have become synonymous with St. Patrick’s Day and all things Irish, were waiting to board a plane to where else, Dublin for their “Celtic Punk Invasion Tour,” when they decided to give those waiting an impromptu concert on St. Patty’s Eve, just a few hours after performing at Boston’s House of Blues.

Check out some passenger shot videos from the “show” and a tweet from the band about their decision.

Now, that’s one way to bring up the people’s moral after enduring TSA and waiting hours to board a stinking plane.

Dropkick Murphys’ Singer Give Nazi Skinhead a Beat Down

Dropkick Murphys

Note to all Skinheads and haters alike, don’t mess with the Dropkick Murphys or they will kick your ass which is exactly what happened to one guy at the punk band’s concert.

The band were playing a show at New York City hot concert venue, Terminal 5 last week when it all went down. The band decided to get the crowd involved, so they wete invitef on stage to sing a couple of songs including AC/DC’s “TNT” and that was when some guy decided to start doing the Nazi salute in time with the music.

Singer/bassist, Ken Casey, caught the guy doing this injustice from the corner of his eye and proceeded to storm clear across the stage and punched out the concertgoer mid-song when he least expected it.

Thanks to Rocks Off, we got a first hand account of what took place doing the whole Nazi-gate.

“Dropkicks singer / bassist Ken Casey noticed this and ran right over to the guy, smashed him in the face, took off his bass and hit him with that and then jumped on him and all out chaos ensued.  We could only assume from our vantage point that said nazi got his ass kicked.  About 30 seconds later Ken emerged from the pileup with his shirt torn and made his way back to the front of the stage.  He strapped on his bass and said into the microphone “Nazis are NOT FUCKING WELCOME at a Dropkick Murphys show.”

That’s some straight up gangsta shit.  God bless you Ken Casey.  And God Bless America.”

As a warning, the video is NSFW, so watch it at your own risk, or do whatever you want.

Fast forward to the 1:30 mark

Fast forward to the 8:10 mark

Just in case you didn’t know, the band do have a song titled, “Skinheads on the M.B.T.A,” but it has nothing to do with the brotherhood of racist baldheads, it’s an ode to the working-class punks of Boston.

Some people will never learn, until they get their asses handed to them on a grimmy, stage floor.
