Simple Plan Release “I Don’t Wanna Go to Bed” Video

A few months back, the guys from Simple Plan had posted pictures on social media from what appeared to be a beach. At the time, they had simply informed fans that it was their office for the time being. Fast forward a few months and as it turns out, the beach was in fact their office. On Friday morning, the Canadian band dropped the music video for their latest single, “I Don’t Wanna Go to Bed” which features said “office” from a few months back.

The video finds the five-piece getting in touch with their inner Baywatch characters as they slip on the iconic reddish/orange bathing suits. Throughout the video, we see the guys running up and down the beach (guitarist Sébastien Lefebvre destroys a little kid’s sandcastle in the process), flirting with the bikini-clad girls, and even trying to save a beach-goer from drowning by giving them some CPR.

Check out the music video for “I Don’t Wanna Go to Bed” below which also features Nelly (yes, Nelly of “Hot in Herre” fame). Also, keep an eye out at the end of the music video because there’s a “special guest” that makes an appearance.

“I Don’t Wanna Go to Bed” is the latest single off of Simple Plans impending new record. As of now, there still isn’t any word on what the album’s official title is going to be, but at this rate we feel like they’re going to name it #SPAlbum5 and call it a day. “I Don’t Wanna Go to Be” will join previously released tracks “Saturday,” “BOOM,” and “I Don’t Wanna Be Sad” on the upcoming album.

Simple Plan “Don’t Wanna Be Sad” on New Track

A little under a month after they released their musician friends-filled music video for “Boom,” Simple Plan has now released another new song from their upcoming, yet-to-be-titled new record. Over the weekend, the Canadian band dropped the third song from the impending release; a track titled “I Don’t Wanna Be Sad.” Very much like their recent releases, the song leans a lot on the poppier side of the pop-punk spectrum though it seems to take some cues from pop songs from the ’50s and ’60s and jazz.

Listen to “I Don’t Wanna Be Sad Anymore” below.

“I Don’t Wanna Be Sad” will join “Boom” and their lukewarm lead single, “Saturday.” At the current time, Simple Plan has not confirmed anything about the new record, with the exception of the three songs being featured on it. Like all their previous emails to fans, they do encourage them to follow the band, and their members, on social media to keep up to date with information about the new record.

For anyone liking the new song,”I Don’t Wanna Be Sad” is currently available for purchase on iTunes.

Simple Plan Bring the “Boom” with New Song

After the lukewarm reception their lead single, “Saturday” got a few months ago, Simple Plan has returned with another new song from their highly anticipated fifth studio album. The new song is titled “Boom” and is the first official music video for their yet-to-be-titled impending record. The music video features the band performing the track in what look like a studio. In between the shots of their studio performance, there are clips of the band performing at this year’s Vans Warped Tour.

The best part of the music video has to be all the guest cameos from the Canadian group’s friends which includes members of many bands that we like such as All-Time Low, New Found Glory, PVRIS, MXPX, Pierce the Veil, The Summer Set, Silverstein, Black Veil Brides, Parkway Drive, and Issues.

According to a statement from the band, the music video was filmed back in July during the Alternative Press Music Awards. Check out the video for “Boom” below and take a tally of how many band members you see throughout the over three-minute clip.

Simple Plan’s new album, which has been given the nickname #SPAlbum5 for the time being, was rumored to be released by the end of the year. Sadly, the band has revealed that they are still working on the record, but that they “will be playing [you] some more songs very soon! We will also give you more info on release date and pre-ordering, so keep checking back our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages @SimplePlan!”

For those who are digging “Boom,” the song is currently available for purchase on iTunes. This weekend, the band will be heading across the pond to the United Kingdom with a couple of the bands who made cameos in “Boom” for their performances at Reading and Leeds.

Simple Plan to Release New Song Next Week

That new Simple Plan album the band have been teasing about for what feels like a years might be coming our way sooner than we thought.

Last night, Simple Plan guitarist Sébastien Lefebvre revealed that the lead single from the band’s fifth studio album would be making its debut next week on his show on Idobi Radio. The episode that will feature the brand new track will air next Wednesday, June 24, at 8 p.m. EST.

Back in April, drummer Chuck Comeau had hinted during an interview with Tribute Magazine that the band’s new record had a projected release time frame of “late Summer/early Fall.

“As far as the actual record release, we don’t have an official date yet, but I’m thinking end of Summer, early Fall is our target, so we are working every day making sure we can meet that deadline,” said Comeau.

For fans of the band who happen to follow them on their social media accounts, it should not come as a surprise that the album will be heading our way soon. The band have not been shy about posting about the soon-to-be released album that does not have an official name yet; it’s been referred to as “SPAlbum5.”

This marks the band’s new album since 2013’s Get Your Heart On-The Second Coming! EP, the continuation to 2011’s Get Your Heart On.

Simple Plan Aiming for ‘Late Summer, Early Fall’ Release

After what feels like years of posting pictures and video from the making of their new album, Simple Plan have now dropped a big hint as to when their fifth studio album is set to drop and it looks to be soon(ish).

Speaking with Tribute Magazine, drummer Chuck Comeau revealed that despite not having an official release date or title (it’s being referred to as “SPAlbum5”) for the record, the group are currently aiming for a “late Summer/early Fall” release date.

“We’re still in the studio, so we’ve probably got another month of recording,” Comeau explained to the publication.

“I think we will definitely have new music out this Summer, that’s for sure. That’s the goal we’ve been working super hard towards. As far as the actual record release, we don’t have an official date yet, but I’m thinking end of Summer, early Fall is our target, so we are working every day making sure we can meet that deadline.”

The band have not been shy about updating fans on the progress of the new record. The Canadian group are constantly updating their individual Instagram profiles with images and videos from behind the scenes of the recording sessions which sometimes includes them goofing off like their ping-pong tournament.

This marks the band’s new album since 2013’s Get Your Heart On-The Second Coming! EP, the continuation to 2011’s Get Your Heart On.
