Coma Ecliptic is a new life for BTBAM. Throughout the process we worked harder than we ever have and really pushed the BTBAM sound to a new identity” writes singer Tommy Rogers on the band’s page on their record label’s website.

“In a world of repetition, I’m very proud to be a part of something that is extremely rewarding, as well as frightening. When you don’t push yourself you will never know what the outcome is. The outcome is Coma Ecliptic.”

And hopefully it blows their hardcore fans’ minds.

Coma Ecliptic is due out worldwide on July 7 through Metal Blade Records. for those wanting to pre-order the album, head on over to their website where the option is currently available.

Stream the ‘Gone Girl’ Soundtrack

Just a few days after dropping a total of four new tracks from the Gone Girl Soundtrack, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have given NPR the full 24-track record for an exclusive premiere.

Listen to the full soundtrack here.

The hype surrounding the new Ben Affleck-starring film Gone Girl has been running rapid since casting had been revealed.

Probably one of the most anticipated films of the Fall film season, the film is based off of former Entertainment Weekly writer Gillian Flynn’s novel of the same name.  If you were to look up the synopsis of the book (and of course the film), it would be described as “thriller” and like with all suspenseful thrillers, an equally thrilling and suspenseful soundtrack comes along.

And that’s where Nine Inch Nail’s Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross come in.

Having had a good working relationship with director David Fincher on their past projects (The Social Network, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), the musicians have come together to compose another soundtrack for the famed director’s film.

Yesterday, Reznor released a snippet of a new song (“The Way He Looks At Me”), but that wasn’t enough we assume because today, three more tracks from the soundtrack were released online. Earlier in the day, Reznor took to Twitter to post a link to the official Nine Inch Nails website where a SoundCloud playlist is currently posted with the four tracks.

Instead of heading over to the NIN site, you can listen to the tracks here.

Gone Girl, the movie, is set to be released on Friday, Oct. 3 while the soundtrack’s release date is still unknown.

Pre-orders are currently up for sale on Nine Inch Nail’s website. There are three options, a digital download of the album, a digital download and CD of the record, and a digital download and vinyl of the record.

SoundCloud to Consider Paying Artists

SoundCloud is probably one of those music streaming sites that can help a musician and their record label without costing them an arm and a leg to do so. For music fans and music blog sites, like us, we have loved SoundCloud since we can remember.

Upcoming artists can post their demos, while major record labels can do the same by post tracks from an upcoming record whether it’s for an up-and-coming artists or one of their most profitable artists.

Now, it’s being reported that SoundCloud might be considering ways to monetize their content to make some cash for the artists who use their site. This idea comes on the heels of the music streaming site upgrading their iPhone app. The site reportedly attracts around 250 million listeners a month and like we have said, is a staple for sharing songs.

During an interview with The Guardian, SoundCloud co-founder and chief chronology officer Eric Wahlforss revealed this plan that is currently just an idea.

“Right now in the U.S. we’re experimenting with different monetization approaches. We’re throwing a couple of things out there and testing the waters a bit. We’re super-excited about where this stuff can go.”

While we are OK with the idea of SoundCloud trying to make some money for their users, we are a little scared that this will mean that all the free music and embedding that we can do might come a price.
