Plain White T’s, Hellogoodbye, Lights added to Slam Dunk 2019 lineup

Plain White T’s, Hellogoodbye, and Lights are just some of the latest additions to this year’s Slam Dunk Festival lineup. On Tuesday (Jan. 29), festival organizers took to social media to announce the addition of ten more acts that will make their way to the United Kingdom for the annual, springtime music festival.

Joining the Plain White T’s, Hellogoodbye, and Lights on the newly released list are Microwave, Tigers Jaw, Wage War, Our Hollow Our Home, Touché Amoré, Wallflower, and Employed to Serve.

“We’re totally giddy to be invited over to Slam Dunk this year,” says Hellogoodbye’s Forrest Klein. “The line-up is insane, so many friends and lovers in one spot, it’ll be a completely gratuitous smile fest.”

“I’m so pumped to be on the Slam Dunk bill for the first time,” says Lights. “Not only am I excited to play with a bunch of great bands, but it’s been over two years since I’ve been back in the UK, so needless to say Slam Dunk can’t come soon enough!”

The newest additions to the Slam Dunk bill will join previously announced acts All Time Low, NOFX, New Found Glory, Waterparks, Story of the Year, Atreyu, Real Friends, Cancer Bats, Gallows, Mad Caddies, Silverstein, Bullet for My Valentine, Simple Plan, Saves the Day, Glassjaw, Knocked Loose, the Get Up Kids, Turnstiles, Trophy Eyes, Tiny Moving Parts, the Menzingers, I Don’t Know How But They Found Me, Milk Teeth, WSTR, Seaway, Pagan, The Word Alive, The Bronx, and Angel Du$t on the upcoming event’s roster.

The weekend-long music festival will take place on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26. The first day of the festival will take place at its new Leeds home of Temple Newsam Park while the second day will take place at Hatfield Park in Hertfordshire.

Slam Dunk 2019 add Bullet for My Valentine, Simple Plan, Saves the Day

Bullet for My Valentine, Simple Plan, and Saves the Day are just some of the latest additions to the 2019 Slam Dunk Festival lineup. On Tuesday (Nov. 20) festival organizers took to social media to announce the addition of 11 more acts that will make their way to the United Kingdom for the annual, springtime music festival.

“Being asked to headline Slam Dunk off the back of Gravity is a massive compliment on how diverse our band is, we’re very happy and honored that we get regarded as a headliner for Slam Dunk,” Bullet for My Valentine frontman Matt Tuck told Metal Hammer about the recently announced news.

Mirroring Tuck’s sentiment is Saves the Day frontman Chris Conley: “We are so excited to play Slam Dunk next year! It’s always a blast to come overseas and sing Saves songs with all our fans. See you soon!!”

In addition to Bullet for My Valentine, Simple Plan, and Saves the Day, Glassjaw, Knocked Loose, the Get Up Kids, Turnstiles, Tiny Moving Parts, the Menzingers, I Don’t Know How But They Found Meand Slam Dunk veterans Trophy Eyes will round out the second wave of performers.
