HAIM, Robyn, the Isley Brothers lead Pitchfork Music Festival 2019 lineup

HAIM, Robyn, and the Isley Brothers are just some of the acts who will make their way to Chicago during the summer for the 2019 incarnation of the Pitchfork Music Festival. On Wednesday (March 6), festival organizers unveiled a lineup that is not only diverse in sound, but in gender.

“This summer’s festival will be my first as editor,” Pitchfork editor-in-chief Puja Patel said in a press statement.

“It’s exciting that it also features such an inclusive lineup. More than half the artists performing are women, including modern pioneers of indie rock and hip-hop, legends of soul and R&B, and a headlining set by the dance-pop icon Robyn. For a national festival that’s so important to a larger music community, the scope of this year’s booking feels especially meaningful.”

As Patel mentioned, this year’s lineup will also include performances by artists such as Mavis Staples, Belle & Sebastian, Earl Sweatshirt, Charli XCX, Pusha-T, Sky Ferreira, Kurt Vile, Low, Jeremih, Rico Nasty, Neneh Cherry, Whitney, Snail Mail, Standing on the Corner, Khruangbin, Freddie Gibbs, Parquet Courts, Soccer Mommy, Amber Mark, JPEGMAFIA, and Stereolab whose set at Pitchfork will mark their first North American show in ten years.

Tickets for the forthcoming festival are currently available here. Ticket prices vary depending on the number of days and the ticket tier.

Single-day passes are $75 while three-day passes will set you back $175. For those wanting a more elevated experience, the Pitchfork PLUS tier will cost $375 for the three days while single-day passes will cost $160.

According to the festival’s website, the Pitchfork PLUS tier includes a slew of amenities including premium food vendors, private specialty bars, and premium air-conditioned bathrooms.
