Ed Sheeran Covers Beyoncé

Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran performing Beyoncé’s “Drunk in Love” from her secretly released album. In stead of taking the song the direction that Beyoncé did with a more sexual connotation, Sheeran made it his own by transforming it into an acoustic diddy. Performance took place during the Ryan Seacrest Show where he was showing off a new song that will be on his new album, the follow-up to 2011’s +.

“I might forget the words cause I’m not quite there, finishing it,” he advised Seacrest when the show host asked him if he had been working on any new covers recently.

Watch the clip below which also has Sheeran speaking about his new tattoos and from whom they are for.

Isn’t his first time covering songs that are from different genres than his own; in the past he covered Blackstreet’s “No Diggity” and Macklemore’s breakout hit, “Thrift Shop.”

What to Watch on New Years Eve

Tonight at 12:01, we say goodbye to the year that was 2013 and hello to the blank page that is 2014.

While some of your friends and family might be hitting the party circuit to bring in the new year, some of us are going to take our annual spot on the couch and watch the ball drop on our televisions.

Since we’ll be staying in, take a look at some of the live events that will be playing on the telly with music, of course to bring in the new year.

NBC: New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly (From Time Square in New York)

This will mark the ninth time tat Daly has held down the fort as the host of the event. Co-hosted b Glee’s Jane Lynch and performances by Mariah Carey and Blake Shelton. Also making appearances at the event will be actor-comedians, Natasha Leggero and Anthony Anderson. After a half an hour break for the local news, the party continues with Daly and Lynch.

ABC: Dick Clark’s Primetime New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2014 (from Time Square in New York)

Taking over for the dearly departed Dick Clark, Ryan Seacrest will once again host the iconic countdown. This year, The View’s Jenny McCarthy is back to co-host the event. Performances include Jennifer Hudson, Miley Cyrus, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Icona Pop, Robin Thicke and more. After a half an hour break for the local news, the party continues with Billy Joel singing us into 2014.

FOX: New Year’s Eve Live (from the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada)

Unlike its many counterparts, Mario Lopez will host his way into 2014 in the shortest of the celebrations; just one hours. In that one hour though, the show will include performance from J. Cole, New Politics, Krewella and Panic! At the Disco.

CNN: New Year’s Eve With Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin

If sexual innuendos and laughing at crude things is your cup of tea, Kathy Griffin is back co-hosting with Anderson Cooper for the seventh year. While every year seems to out do the other in trying to embarrass our favorite Silver Fox, Cooper has definitely learned to deal with Griffin and her antic. But, it’s still fun to see her try.

Britney Spears Premieres New Song

Britney Spears has premiered her new song, “Ooh La La,”which has now been confirmed to be featured on this Summer’s movie, The Smurfs 2.

The follow-up to 2011’s somewhat flop continues the story of the blue, little people as they head out to save Smurfette, who has been smurf-napped by Gargamel due to a secret that she currently possesses.

Earlier this morning, the Spears tweeted her many followers about the world premiere of the new song on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show:

“Morning tweople! Getting ready to call @OnAirWithRyan – Ooh La La premiering in 10… U all ready & listening??”

Check out the song below and tell us how you feel? Anything’s got to be better than that awful “Scream and Shout,” right?

Jason Derulo Streams New Song

Jason Derulo maybe remembered as the guy with that ultra catchy song, “Down” which featured Lil’ Wayne, but also as the guy who has to repeat his name thirty time in a song or better yet, Jordin Spark’s fiance, but that’s okay, at least you remember him.

The singer has today released a stream of his new song, “The Other Side” on On the Air with Ryan Seacrest (like every other pop star tend to do)which was produced by Dr Luke, but written by an unlikely source; Boys Like Girls frontman, Martin Johnson.

You can listen to the track here.
