Teaser for Eminem’s “Monster” Released

Eminem’s second collaboration with Rihanna has already reached the top of the music charts and now a teaser for the official music video has been released.

The short video begins with a black-clad woman entering a room and placing a VHS in a VCR (yes, those still do exist) to show the rapper, who is seated in a chair a video. The video goes on to show the word “violence” first with clips of violence. It then proceeds to reveal the word “family” which shows other images including a clip of Eminem holding his youngest daughter Hailie. And lastly, the word “addiction” comes on the screen showing images of prescription pills. All three words, of course meaning something to Eminem.

The woman dressed in black is later revealed to be Rihanna who will probably play the role of the rapper’s therapist in the video when it is officially release. While none of the actual song is played during the minute-long clip, it does leave some wanting more, doing its job of being a teaser.

No word has been given as to when the actual video will be released, so keep your eyes on the net for that.

Thirty Seconds to Mars Cover Rihanna

While visiting the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge the other day, Thirty Seconds to Mars gave fans a little surprise when they performed Rihanna’s hit song, “Stay.” To say that fans were intrigued by the cover by the band would be an understatement since almost everyone has had the same reaction to the song; it was freaking amazing.

While you think that the original version by Ri-Ri pulled at your heart-strings, the version featuring frontman Jared Leto taking on Rihanna’s role on vocals while Leto’s brother, Shannon took to the drums and Tomo Miličević took on the keys to round out the beautifully sad song.

The video from the performance can be seen below.

Thirty Seconds to Mars recently released their new album, Love, Lust, Faith + Dreams, back in May. And for those of you wondering, the band did perform another song (their current single, “Do or Die” to be exact), but it doesn’t really look like anyone cared about that one.

Rihanna Hit in the Face with Chips

Fans of Rihanna sure do know how to show how they feel about the pop star showing up late to her own show.

Rihanna was in the United Kingdom the other day, on the last stop of her Diamonds World Tour when she showed up a little late. Of course, because the Manchester fans did pay a lot to see the “We Found Love” star perform on time, they were angered when she was tardy. When she went on to perform her 2010 hit, “Rude Boy,” the fans surely let her know just how they felt about her and her lateness.

Once she turned to ask the fans what they thought about her rendition of the song, her face was met with flying chips, showing that you can’t jut get away with being late because you’re a pop star. “There’s a good crazy and there’s a bad crazy,” Rihanna told the fans. “When you throw s–t up here, that’s an epic fail.”

“I want to get your gifts but I don’t want you to knock my people out,” she continued.  “I swear to God, cut that s–t out. Really? Chips? Chips though? That’s that important?”

After she was done lecturing the audience members, she returned back to her stage self telling them, “alright Manchester, for those of you who want to get jiggy and have a good f–king time, say my name.”

Sadly, this isn’t the first time that Rihanna has had trouble with fans on this tour. Last month, she threw her microphone at a fan that she believed gt to close to her during a performance of “We Found Love.” Earlier on in the tour there was another issue which did not involve the singer herself, but a woman supposedly got herpes from someone who was handing out sample of the pop star’s M.A.C. lipstick color, “Ri-Ri Woo.”

You can see the video of the incident below.

What do you guys think, does her lateness warrant the waste of chips?

Rihanna at War with Reporter

You would think by now that reporters would get the message that Rihanna does not like when you talk bad about her, even if she does come off as not the best type of role model for someone who looks up to her.

Yesterday, the Barbados pop-star went on the defense when The Daily Mail reporter, Liz Jones, wrote a not-so-flattering article about her which the headline read, ““Pop’s poisonous princess: Glorying in drugs, guns and sleaze, Rihanna’s toxic role model for her army of young fans.”

The article is a first hand account which criticizes Rihanna’s public bad-girl persona and how it influences those young fans who look up to her as role model. From taking pictures with bongs and reuniting with her abusive ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown, Jones chronicles all the things that make the pop star not exactly Mother Theresa.

Since Ri-Ri isn’t exactly shy at calling out those, she went on to fire back at the reporter with a harshly worded statement as well as posting the most unflattering picture of Jones on her Instagram in which she captioned, “sad sloppy menopausal mess.”

Read the statement below:

“LOL!!!! My money got a bad habit of pissing people off!! If you sincerely wanna help little girls more than their own parents do, here’s a toxic tip: don’t be amateur with your articles, you sound bitter! What’s all this about hair and nails and costumes and tattoos?? ….That shit ain’t clever!!! That shit ain’t journalism! That’s a sad sloppy menopausal mess!!! Nobody over here acts like they’re perfect! I don’t pretend that I’m like you, i just live… My life!! And I don’t know why y’all still act so surprised by any of it!! “Role Model” is not a position or title that I have ever campaigned for, so chill wit dat! I got my own fucked up shit to work on, I’ll never portray that as perfect, but for right now it’s ME!! Call it what ya want!! Toxic was cute, Poisonous Pop Princess had a nice ring to it, just a lil wordy! And P.S. my first American Vogue cover was in 2011…APRIL!!! #ElizabethAnnJones.”

So far, Jones nor The Daily Mail have released a comment about this.

‘Shine Bright Like a….’ Herpes?

Just when you think you have heard it all, let’s just add another crazy story in the world of pop music.

In today’s edition, a Harlem woman is claiming that she got herpes thanks in part to Rihanna’s lipstick.

In a lawsuit filed yesterday at the New York Supreme Court in Manhattan, Starkeema Greenidge is claiming she visited a pop-up M.A.C. cosmetics tent at Rihanna’s show on May 7th at Barclays Center when a representative went up to her and applied some ‘RiRi Woo’ lipstick which is endorsed by the “Umbrella” star.

According to Greenidge, the lipstick had previously been used by others at the concert and that one of them had herpes, eventually being spread to her.

The suit claims that “the defendant’s employee/agent applied the lipstick directly to plaintiff’s upper lip and instructed plaintiff to press her lips together and spread the lipstick around,” and that the lipstick used “was not a fresh tube of new lipstick but rather one that had been used by other patrons.”

Greenidge told The Daily News that a cold sore appeared two days after the initial application and that she went to the doctor where it was confirmed that it was in fact herpes.

“I wasn’t able to work for two weeks. It cost me a lot of money,” Greenidge told the paper. “This is going to happen over and over again if nothing is done.”

As of yesterday, she is suing M.A.C. for unspecified damages, but the lawsuit currently just has “mental anguish and emotional distress” as what she has suffered thanks in part to the whole ordeal. Rihanna,on the other hand, has not been named in the suit.

Furbies Take on Pop Music

Just when you think those pesky Furbies from your youth (if you were born/raised in the 90s, you know what I’m talking about) were scary enough on their own, well think again.

Turn out someone has decided to give these creepy, furry creatures a makeover to look like some of pop music’s well known acts. Thanks to Furby Living, a Tumblr account dedicated to the toy, they have recreated some of those artists’ album covers.
