My Chemical Romance officially confirm North American reunion tour for the fall

The My Chemical Romance reunion is officially the gift that keeps on giving.

Following what has felt like months of teasers (real talk, it’s only been a few weeks), the New Jersey-founded band finally announced plans to give their North American MCRmy some love.

On Wednesday (Jan. 29), the four-piece posted a theatrical 13-minute video where all the teasers they dropped fused into one mini-film. Towards the end of the lengthy clip, dates, venues, and cities started to appear confirming what fans had been hoping for since the group decided it was time to reunite.

My Chemical Romance’s reunion tour will run for 18 days and stop in major cities such as St. Paul, Toronto, Boston, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Houston, Dallas, and more.

The fall time outing begins on Sept. 9 at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit and concludes a month later on Oct. 11 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Tickets for the newly announced tour dates go on sale this Friday, Jan. 31, at noon local time. Complete information about the upcoming outing can be found on the band’s website.

In addition to their headlining arena shows, the group also added several music festivals to their itinerary. My Chemical Romance will headline Riot Fest (Chicago) on Sept. 12, Music Midtown Festival (Atlanta) on Sept. 20, and Aftershock Festival (Sacramento) on Oct. 10.

My Chemical Romance’s reunion comes seven years after the group decided to take a break. In December, they got the band back together for a show at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles which sold out in seconds.

After that, things just started to spiral with a slew of sold-out international shows leaving their North American fans wondering “when’s our turn?”

Well, the time is now.

Spice Girls to reunite for short summer tour sans Posh Spice

Well, we told them what we want…what we really really want and it looks like the Spice Girls have finally came through. On Monday (Nov. 5), the British girl group announced plans to reunite later this year for a handful of shows. While it’s good news for longtime fans of the 90s staple, there are two catches to this new announcement: one, the shows are only happening in the United Kingdom; and two, Posh Spice (aka Victoria Beckham) will not take part in the event.

Instead, the group will go on as a four-piece with Emma “Baby” Bunton, Geri “Ginger” Halliwell, Mel “Sporty” Chisholm, and Mel “Scary” Brown taking center stage during the six-show engagement.

In a statement, the group revealed that Beckham will not join the reunion due to “business commitments.”

Beckham herself posted a message in which she supports the reunion even if she is not part of it: “Being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish my girls so much love and fun as they go back on tour, I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time!”

The upcoming tour will begin on June 1 at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester and conclude two weeks later with a massive show at Wembley Stadium in London.

Tickets for the gigs go on sale beginning this Saturday, Nov. 10.

The newly announced shows come months after speculations began that there was a possibility of some reunion gigs on the horizon. In February, the act confirmed their reunion, though no actual shows were reported at the time.

“The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together,” the act wrote at the beginning of 2018. “We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations.”

The six-show reunion will be the first time the group has performed together since the 2012 London Summer Olympics’ closing ceremony.

The complete list of upcoming shows can be found below while the tour announcement video can be seen above.

The Academy Is… Reunion Tour Dates Unveiled

After a killer reunion show pre-Riot Fest Chicago last Thursday and an even bigger set at Riot Fest on Saturday, The Academy Is… has officially announced the highly anticipated tour dates for their “Almost Here Tenth Anniversary Tour.”

During their set at Riot Fest Chicago, the Chicago-based band told the overly excited audience that they will be hitting the road this December for the anniversary of their debut album even though the album technically turned ten back in February. But, to keep the suspense going a little more, the group decided to wait until Monday (Sept. 14) to release not only the tour dates, but also the tickets and much more.

Check out the tour dates for the “Almost Here Tenth Anniversary Tour.”

From Autumn to Ashes had announced plans to go on an indefinite hiatus back in 2008 right before releasing their last release, Live at Looney Tunes. Now, it looks like their return will be permanent and even have a pre-Skate and Surf Fest show scheduled for May 15 at Revolution Music Hall in Amityville.

If you plan on going to that show, we might advise that you check to see if there are any tickets available because the place has a maximum capacity of like 250 people and they went on sale back in March.
