Reading and Leeds Unveil 60+ New Artists to 2015 Line-Up

Just when we though Reading and Leeds had finished unveiling their complete line-up for the 2015 incarnation of the yearly festival, organizers has officially given the completed line-up today.

Back in February when organizers released the flyer for the weekend-long event, a big chunk of the line-up had been revealed making some assume (like us) that those were all the people heading to the United Kingdom for the Bank Holiday. One thing that did not escape us were the two “special guest TBA” spots and the promise that a lot more acts would be added.

Now, those vacant spots have been revealed as well as over 60+ new acts that include Alt-J, Against Me!, The Gaslight Anthem, AWOLNATION, Modern Baseball, The Bots, Atreyu, PVRIS, and many more.

Check out the new additions to the line-up below.

Reading and Leeds will take place during the weekend of August 28-30. Tickets are on sale, but if you haven’t already purchased them already, it might be a good idea to do so now or really soon.

Reading and Leeds Unveil First Seven Acts for 2015

The year is almost over and that means festivals are already getting prepared to unveil the artists who will be taking the stage at each of them in no time at all.

Before long, this website will be having a hard time keeping up to date with all the festivals, their performers list, festival dates and live streams because of the on slaughter we usually get, but we won’t complain, it’s all fun. .

Today, Reading and Leeds decided to get a jump-start on their line-up
by announcing the first wave of artists who will be heading across the pond to perform at the annual event.

As of now, the list only has seven names, but hey that’s a start.

Metallica will be headlining next Summer’s event while Jamie T., Pierce the Veil, Run the Jewels, Manchester Orchestra and Wilkinson Live have been confirmed.

Also slated to perform at Reading and Leeds? Refused.

For some, this news is a little shocking since the band had said it was done once their reunion tour was over. It was also revealed Refused will be playing the Amnesia Rockfest in Quebec next Summer as well, so we’re not sure if they meant it when they said they were “done” especially since they’ve been dropping cryptic hints of a new record for next year.

Check out the first of many flyers with the line-up.

Sherlock Gets In Touch With His Inner R. Kelly

What happens when you combine one of 2013’s hottest star and some of the naughtiest lyrics? Well, what you get is a hysterical video.

While making his rounds on the late night show circuit, Benedict Cumberbatch delivered a dramatic reading of R. Kelly’s “Black Panties.” Of course with the mixture of the lyrics and Cumberbatch’s deep voice (and lets not forget all the audience members laughing their butts off in the background) it just makes it hilarious.

Check out the video of the actor turning R. Kelly’s words into something that could be somewhat Shakespearean.

You can also see the complete interview here too.

Cumberbatch was on Jimmy Kimmel in support of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug where he plays the elusive dragon, Smaug as well as his hit BBC show, Sherlock.
