Radio Disney have announced the performers for their up coming music awards and some of the names should not be shocking since they are part of the Disney Channel family. Performers include Selena Gomez, Bridgit Mendler, Cody Simpson and several more.
Fans between the age of five and 18 can go online vote for their favorite artists to win awards such as “Ultimate Breakout Star: Biggest Viral Artist”; “XOXO: Best Crush Song”; “So FANtastic: Fiercest Fan” and many more. While the name of the show is the “Radio Disney Music Awards,” the artists aren’t the only ones getting recognized.
This year, the music award show will honor five kids from around the United States with the “Hero for Change” award that recognizes their efforts at trying to make their community a better place. But that isn’t the only thing listeners could win. Kids from Radio Disney’s 31 markets have the chance to win the “Youth Service Award” which awards one child from each market a $500 grant for their community project. They are also invited to be presented with the award by one of their favorite stars.
Tickets for the award ceremony can be found online, but for those that can’t make it, the show will be available on Radio Disney, RadioDisney.com, Disney.com and several other places.
