Variety broke the big news last night who the headliners for this year’s Coachella would be and now it looks like one of the biggest rumors has been confirmed.
Late last year, rumor had surfaced that OutKast would be reuniting and the place for this reunion to happen would be Coachella; cut to last night when the reports were confirmed.
Also joining OutKast as headliners are the Arcade Fire, coming off a great year and Muse. Other big names heading to California for the two weekend long festival are such big names as Queens of the Stone Age, Skrillex, Beck, Pharrell Williams, Lorde, Calvin Harris, Disclosure, Lana Del Rey, the Replacements, the Knife, and Motörhead.
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will take place in Indio, California during two weekends, April 11 through 13 and a repeat on April 18 through 20.
And like the tweet sent out by the official Coachella Twitter, “Share it like a Polaroid picture.”
Did you know that Queens of the Stone Age frontman, Josh Homme had auditioned for Star Wars: Episode VII?
Well, don’t feel like an idiot because the singer did not actually audition for the J.J. Abrams directed film which is still in limbo. The musician was actually making a cameo on British YouTube comedy duo, Stinky Mike’s who were they were doing a spoof on the auditioning process for the film titled, Star Wars: Episode VII–The Auditions.
In the clip, one of the two was in the process of finishing up an interview with the musician when Homme let it slip out that he wished to expand his resume into the film world and as only someone could plan, there was a casting call taking place next door.
While Homme looks like he could easily pass for a wookie with his ginger looks and height, turns out that the music man actually has aspirations of being something a little less tall and fuzzy. He is quotes as saying he wants to be “R2D2, king of the droids; an articulate, multilingual doer.”
All right-y then.
You can check out the video below of Homme and the Stinky Mike getting their Star Wars Episode VII on.

While the list of the bands who’s set will be live-cast is small compared to the long list of performers in total, at least viewers won’t have to complain over the fact that there will be a lot of conflicting set times (some really good bands are performing at the same time in case you haven’t already seen).
Lollapalooza starts this Friday, August 2 and goes all the way through until Sunday at Chicago’s Grant Park. The webcast will be hosted through the festival’s YouTube page which you can check out here. For the full schedule of those getting the webcast treatment, take a peek at the list below.
