Reading and Leeds Unveil 60+ New Artists to 2015 Line-Up

image

Just when we though Reading and Leeds had finished unveiling their complete line-up for the 2015 incarnation of the yearly festival, organizers has officially given the completed line-up today.

Back in February when organizers released the flyer for the weekend-long event, a big chunk of the line-up had been revealed making some assume (like us) that those were all the people heading to the United Kingdom for the Bank Holiday. One thing that did not escape us were the two “special guest TBA” spots and the promise that a lot more acts would be added.

Now, those vacant spots have been revealed as well as over 60+ new acts that include Alt-J, Against Me!, The Gaslight Anthem, AWOLNATION, Modern Baseball, The Bots, Atreyu, PVRIS, and many more.

Check out the new additions to the line-up below.

Reading and Leeds will take place during the weekend of August 28-30. Tickets are on sale, but if you haven’t already purchased them already, it might be a good idea to do so now or really soon.

Sleeping With Sirens Sign with Epitaph, Release New Song

image

What is a band to do right before they head out on the second leg of their massive world tour?

Simple, sign with a record label that has a lot of rock bands on its roster.

Sleeping with Sirens did just that, going from Rise Records which they called home since their debut, over to Epitaph Records.

In honor of the signing, the band also released a new song titled “Kick Me” which we will assume will be featured on their upcoming new record. Check out the new song below.

Back in August, the band had revealed that they would be leaving Rise Records and would be working as an independent band on their upcoming new album which they had hinted at the month before with photos of them in the studio with John Feldmann.

Apparently, that plan didn’t last long since not even three months later they announced their signing with Epitaph.

Sleeping with Sirens released their last album, Feel back in 2013 which debuted at number three on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and will begin the second leg of the U.S. portion of their world tour with Pierce the Veil and newly revealed supporting act, Mallory Knox and PVRIS.

Check out the tour dates here.

Stream PVRIS’ Debut Album, ‘White Noise’

image

PVRIS (pronounced Paris), the up-and-coming Massachusetts-based band have garnered a lot of attention this year. Several publications have dubbed the trio a “2014 need to know” act which is not too shabby considering they hadn’t even released a full album yet (though they did have a few EPs there).

After signing with Rise/Velocity Records and releasing their first official track, “St. Patrick,” they’re popularity skyrocketed.

With help from Vans Warped Tour during the last two years (the Ernie Ball stage in 2013 and supporting gigs this year), their fan base seems to have double which is understandable with their catching music.

Now, the group will be releasing their debut album, White Noise next week which give fans the chance to hear a total of ten songs, three of which had already been unveiled.

Check out the new album below which includes “St. Patrick,” “My House,” and current single “White Noise.”

White Noise will be released next Tuesday, Nov. 4.
