With a week left until the release of their sixth studio album, Senses Fail are giving fans the chance to listen to Pull the Thorns From Your Heart a little bit ahead of time.

Previously, the band debuted several tracks from the impending release including “The Courage of an Open Heart,” “Wounds,” lead single “The Importance of the Moment of Death” and the recently released “Carry the Weight.”

In a cool twist, instead of just making it a straight stream of the new record, frontman Buddy Nielsen recorded commentaries for each individual track, giving fans a deeper look at each of the songs and their meanings.

Listen to Pull the Thorns From Your Heart below as well as the commentaries after each track is played.

Pull the Thorns From Your Heart is set to be released next Tuesday, June 30 through Pure Noise Records.

Don’t forget to catch the New Jersey punks this Summer on the Vans Warped Tour which kicked off its 2015 run last Friday, June 19.

With a couple of weeks left until their new album is slated to be released, Senses Fail have unveiled another new song from the upcoming record, Pull the Thorns from Your Heart.

Today’s new song is titled “Carry the Weight” and will join previously released tracks “The Courage of an Open Heart,” “Wounds,” and lead single “The Importance of the Moment of Death” on their sixth studio album.

In an interview with Revolver, who were the first to premiere the track exclusively this morning, frontman Buddy Nielsen had the following to say about the song:

“We all carry the weight in the only way we know. For some us that looks effortless and graceful and for others we are struggling just to stay upright. I’ve carried a lot of weight over the years and this song is a reflection of giving myself the freedom to be forgiving for the ways in which I did.”

Listen to “Carry the Weight” below.

Pull the Thorns from Your Heart is set to be released on June 30 through Pure Noise Records. In support of the new album, the New Jersey band will be heading out on the Vans Warped Tour this summer with several of their label mates.

With a little over a month until the release of their new album, Pull the Thorns From Your Heart, Senses Fail have unveiled two new songs from the impending record.

The two tracks, “The Courage of an Open Heart” and “Wounds” will join previously released songs  “All You Need is Already Within You” and “The Importance of the Moment of Death.”

Listen to both songs below and if you aren’t one who enjoys screaming and “aggressive” music, then you might want to skip “The Courage of an Open Heart,” but if you dig the Deftones, you might enjoy “Wounds better, though there is some screaming in that as well (come on, at the end of the day, it is Senses Fail).

Pull the Thorns From Your Heart will be release on June 30 through Pure Noise Records. Don’t forget to catch Senses Fail this Summer as they head out on tour with label mates like Handguns and Seaway on this year’s Vans Warped Tour.

Senses Fail Unveil “The Importance of the Moment of Death”

Several months ago, Pure Noise Records and Senses Fail revealed that the band’s sixth studio album would be titled Pull the Thorns From Your Heart, but no other information was given.

Now, five months later, the band have not only given fans the release date for the impending record, but also the music video for the lead single, “The Importance of the Moment of Death.”

The video begins with a drunk clown driving to a kids’ party where we see the birthday boy and his friend outside having fun while his mom is inside getting drunk and high with her friends. Fast forward to gift time, and we see the kid unwrap packages that include a bottle of booze, a gun, and a knife he uses to decimate his birthday cake,

When asked by Noisey about the idea behind the song, frontman Buddy Nielsen said that it was a “mythic representation of how innocence can be forcefully taken away from us as children, leaving us with too much too soon and without the proper coping skills.”

Talk about deep.

Check out the music video for “The Importance of the Moment of Death.”

Pull the Thorns From Your Heart will be released on June 30, perfect timing since they will be performing during the complete Vans Warped Tour trek. Pre-sales for the album are currently available while the album art for the record can be seen below.

Senses Fail Will ‘Pull the Thorns from Your Heart’ With New Record

Senses Fail are following up the tenth year anniversary tour of Let It Enfold You with something new: a new record.

The band announced that they will be releasing their sixth studio in the Summer of 2015.

Aside from the projected release date, the band also announced it would be titled Pull the Thorns from Your Heart and would be released through Pure Noise Records.

Frontman Buddy Nielsen revealed the news through a blog post which can be read below:

“This album is a continuation of the sound we established on Renacer and builds out of those soundscapes.  Lyrically this record is about finding peace and love within yourself through the letting go of habitual patterns of emotional and physical self abuse, finding courage in vulnerability and surrendering to the idea that love is the path to liberation. We are so very lucky to be making music this far into our careers and we cannot wait to share it.”

The idea behind the new record comes a week or so after Nielsen posted a podcast in which he opened up about his sexuality, substance abuse history, sexual addiction, anxiety, self loathing and other personal demons he was battling. Considering how the record is supposed to be about self-love and peace, it seems the new music will reflect Nielsen’s own voyage of finding his own self-love.

Senses Fail released their last album, Renacer back in 2013 while still under Staple Records.
