Listen: Emarosa get ‘Cautious’ on latest single

With a little over a week left until the release of their fifth studio album, Emarosa has returned with yet another new song from it. On Monday (Jan. 28), the Kentucky-founded act unleashed their third single; a track titled “Cautious.”

The song, which premiered exclusively on Billboard, finds the band sticking to the poppy side of the rock genre; their goal with this new studio effort.

While speaking with the publication, lead vocalist Bradley Walden explained the lyrical inspiration behind the new song.

“Sex after heartbreak can tell you a lot about who you are,” begins Walden.

“If you move on, you move on. If you can’t move on, maybe that was love you had. When I wrote this I was just trying to navigate those feelings.”

Listen to “Cautious” above.

“Cautious” joins previously released tracks “Don’t Cry” and lead single “Givin’ Up” on Emarosa’s forthcoming studio album, Peach Club. Peach Club is due out Feb. 8 through Hopeless Records. Pre-orders for the album are still available on the band’s website.

Peach Club is the follow-up to the band’s 2016 release 131.

Even though the album has yet to be released, Emarosa has been touring nonstop behind its imminent release. The European leg of their current tour will conclude tomorrow night (Jan. 29), at Tivoli Vredenburg in the Netherlands.

After wrapping up their European tour, the act will return to the North American touring circuit for a handful of Peach Club album release shows in early February. The album release shows will include gigs in Philadelphia, Dallas, Mesa, Los Angeles, and Honolulu. Once the album is out and in the hands of fans, the group will make their way to Japan in late February for four shows.

Fall Out Boy to Premiere New Song on Monday

falloutboy

Maybe that new Fall Out Boy record is closer than we originally thought. After a couple of months of speculation and bassist Pete Wentz confirming a new album was in the works, we’re getting word that the band will be releasing a brand new track this upcoming Monday (Nov. 24).

Considering that the band already took to Twitter to confirm the news, Fall Out Boy fans should be a little more thankful this Thanksgiving.

But, maybe we shouldn’t be getting too ahead of ourselves here.

On Twitter, the band did confirm the release of the new track, but sadly, it will be a UK single meaning it will exclusively premiere in the UK. Upon learning that the song will debut on a UK radio station, we assumed it would premiere during Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 Show which was also confirmed by the band.

This begs the question for all US fans: where’s our single from the upcoming record? Is it going to be the same track? We should remember that “Centuries” also made its debut on Zane Lowe’s show and then went on to become the first single for the yet-to-be-titled record.

Beggars can’t be choosers, we guess.

Check out the tweet from the band below as you listen to “Immortals” from Disney’s Big Hero 6, Fall Out Boy’s most recent track.

New Fall Out Boy on the Horizon

FallOutBoy

It sounds like Fall Out Boy have been holding out on their fans.

Over the past few days, reports have been surfacing that the band had recorded a music video for a brand new, never before heard track. The track is reportedly titled “Centuries” while the music video will feature fans of the band.

Proof of the band’s open cast calling and picture from those on the set had been uploaded onto the web. Just a normal, daily occurrence from the generation that we live in.

Today, the rumors of the new song hit overdrive when the band post a five second clip featuring a blacked out screen and Morse code. We’re not experts nor do we know Morse code, but we’re going to assume it has something to do with the new song.

As if that wasn’t enough of a confirmation, DJ Zane Lowe from BBC Radio 1 confirmed earlier today that a new Fall Out Boy song would premiere on Monday, Sept. 8.

Check out the clip below.

From the pictures some fans had posted online from the video shoot, we only know that there’s a man nailed to a cross featured in the video (among other Bible characters according to the casting call) and that Pete Wentz is now very, very blonde.

Fall Out Boy released their hit “reunion” record Save Rock and Roll last year and followed it up with an EP titled PAX AM Days. The band also just finished wrapping up their “MONUMENTOUR” alongside Paramore.

Linkin Park Release “Until It’s Gone” Video

With Linkin Park’s new album on the cusp of being released, it comes as no surprise that the band have already debuted several tracks from the new album to their fans.

As of now, “Guilty All the Same,” “Wastelands,” “Rebellion,” “Final Masquerade” have already debuted, and today, the band released the music video for the newest addition to that list, the video for “Until It’s Gone.”
Unlike many artists, the band have decided to forgo premiering the video on YouTube and Vevo and decided to give it straight to the fans through their Facebook page.

As Mashable pointed out, this mode of releasing videos has been catching on with Ed Sheeran doing the same for his “Sing” video, Jay-Z with “Holy Grail,” Bruno Mars with “Gorilla” and Mariah Carey with her new track, “The Art of Letting Go.”

“The visuals have an aggressive edge to it that is the representation of the band as The Hunting Party,” Linkin Park’s Joe Hahn describe the music video to Mashable during an interview.

“We are the same guys you always knew but, a little older, weathered and experienced. The video has an undertone of the world is going to shit. There is black ooze that crystallizes the world. It is an infection. The black ooze is representing other music out there. We are merely here to fill in that sliver with the music that we bring. I guess you can say that we are filling a void.”

Watch the video below.

Don’t forget Linkin Park will be heading out on their “Carnivores Tour” with 30 Seconds to Mars and AFI in August while The Hunting Party hits stores next Tuesday (June 17). Hope we see you there.

“The war is not over.”

Hey Stannis, if the war was indeed over then we are pretty sure that Game of Thrones would also be over, but for now, it looks like the beloved show is safe especially with season four and all the ramifications from the infamous Red Wedding.

Last night, the Game of Throne season 4 premiere took place in New York and in honor of the premiere of the new season, HBO decided to give fans the chance to see the final trailer for the upcoming season which is set to premiere in two weeks.

The trailer features some of our favorite characters including Tyrion telling his father how “Cersei always gets what she wants,” Daenerys and her dragons read to fight anyone that stands in her way and the Stark children dealing with the fact that now most of their family is gone.

Game of Throne returns to its 9 p.m. time slot on HBO beginning on April 6.

P.S. who else is digging London Grammar’s cover of INXS’ “Devil Inside” for the chilling trailer?

Nine Inch Nails to Release New Song, Thursday

nine-inch-nails-060627

Earlier today, rumors were running around that Nine Inch Nails would be releasing a brand new track sometime this week.

It has now been confirmed that the revamped version of the 90s band will indeed release a brand new track on Thursday. The track, “Came Back Haunted,” is set to premiere on June 6th through KROQ in California.

When asked about the new song, Lisa Worden, music director for the Los Angeles station said, “I think it’s in line with the first two albums. Its got a great beat, it’s not the experimental material Trent’s done in the last five years.”

She added, “I wouldn’t say that it’s dance-y, but it does have a great beat, a groove. Trent really brought it with this song. It’s going to sound amazing to new fans and old. It’s just cool.”

Frontman Trent Reznor revealed earlier this year that he had been working on new music for the band with Alan Moulder and Atticus Ross ever since the band has dismantled. “Came Back Haunted” will be featured on the follow-up to 2008’s The Slip. Reznor released the following statement about the new music a little while ago:

“I’ve been less than honest about what I’ve really been up to lately. For the last year I’ve been secretly working non-stop with Atticus Ross and Alan Moulder on a new, full-length Nine Inch Nails record, which I am happy to say is finished and frankly fucking great. This is the real impetus and motivation behind the decision to assemble a new band and tour again. My forays into film, HTDA and other projects really stimulated me creatively and I decided to focus that energy on taking Nine Inch Nails to a new place. Here we go!”

Reznor also revealed that former guitarist, Robin Finck will be rejoining the band after Eric Avery left citing that he had become overwhelmed after touring with Garbage and felt that he couldn’t committed to the demands that the Nine Inch Nails would ask of him.

Psy’s “Gentleman” Video

psy

Yesterday, Psy released his first new song since “Gangnam Style” in 119 countries. Today the Korean pop star has graced us with the music video for the new tune which he had been working on earlier this week. Since “Gangnam Style” went on to become one of the most watched videos on Youtube, it’s only natural that he would premiere his new video in style, at Seoul’s World Cup Stadium on Saturday where he was performing.

According to Reuters, the stadium was packed with 50,000 in attendance and about 160,000 people watching the live stream. If that isn’t dedication, then I don’t know what is.

Without further ado, here’s “Gentleman”:
