Watch Brendon Urie’s puppet go crazy in ‘Dancing’s Not a Crime’

The Amazing Beebo may be stealing hearts during Panic! at the Disco’s current tour, but now it looks like the puppet is stealing the scene in their new music video. On Monday (March 19), the Las Vegas-founded band unleashed the music video for their latest single “Dancing’s Not a Crime.” The four-minute video follows frontman Brendon Urie’s puppet Beebo as he spends the day with the group on tour.

The clip includes Beebo annoying Urie while he’s working, participating in rehearsals, meeting and hanging out with fans, and drinking, h so much drinking. Even though Urie seems to be keeping a watchful eye on his “Hey Look Ma, I Made It” alter ego, Beebo still manages to get himself into so much mischief.

As the video comes to an end, the viewer watches a passed out Beebo sleeping in what looks to be the band’s dressing room. Urie does not look happy as he walks in and smacks Beebo across the head and begins to give him a lecture.

“Security just told me they found you in the bathroom, sitting on the toilet, puking your brains out!” Urie says.

“You missed the whole goddamn show. What do you have to say for yourself, man?!”

As Beebo is about to respond, Urie cuts him off.

“You know what…I don’t even want to know,” Urie ends before turning around and leaving a flabbergasted Beebo sitting on the sofa.

“Dancing’s Not a Crime” is the latest single off Panic! at the Disco’s recently released record, Pray for the Wicked.

“Dancing’s Not a Crime” joins “Hey Look Ma, I Made It,” “King of the Clouds,” “(F**k A) Silver Lining,” “Say Amen (Saturday Night),” and their smash hit “High Hopes” on their sixth studio album.

Panic! at the Disco is currently in the middle of the European leg of their lengthy Pray for the Wicked world tour. The excursion will conclude in early April.

Watch Panic! at the Disco reach for the sky in ‘High Hopes’

If you had “high hopes” that Panic! at the Disco would release a music video for one of the best songs on their recently released record, then you’re in luck. On Monday (Aug. 27), the Las Vegas-founded band unleashed the music video for their latest single, “High Hopes.” The over-three-minute clip acts as a sequel to the group’s previous music video for “Hey Look Ma, I Made It.”

The clip begins with frontman Brendon Urie stepping out a Lyft, dressed in a snazzy suit, looking around Los Angeles like some clear-eyed kid from the middle of nowhere. As he makes his way down the street, staring at all the skyscrapers around him, he bumps into people who are rushing on with their lives. As Urie reaches one particular glass skyscraper, he begins to climb the side of the building as if he were Spider-Man.

As he walks his way to the top, the camera pans to a crowd of people gathered on the ground floor, taking video of the scene. Once Urie makes it to the top, he hops on the roof and is greeted by the other members of Panic! at the Disco who are playing the tune.

If the shots of Urie on the roof surrounded by skyscrapers and a setting sun may look familiar, then you’d be onto something; it’s a recreation of the cover art for Pray for the Wicked.

“No matter how hard your dreams seem, keep going. You might even have to climb up the side of a building in downtown LA, but it’ll all be worth it at the top,” write Urie on social media.

“High Hopes” is featured on Panic! at the Disco’s recently released record, Pray for the Wicked. The group recently wrapped up the North American leg of their Pray for the Wicked tour.

Watch Brendon Urie become a puppet in Panic! at the Disco’s latest music video

Now that Panic! at the Disco’s new album is officially out, the group is celebrating by releasing a brand new music video. On Friday (June 22), the Las Vegas-founded band unleashed the music video for “Hey Look Ma, I Made It.” The three-minute clip begins with Panic! frontman Brendon Urie in what looks to be a bathroom inside of a house. Decked in his signature gold blazer, the frontman leans down to splash water on his face, but when he straightens, his reflection is replaced by a puppet version of himself alla “Avenue Q. ”

The video follows puppet Urie as he says goodbye to his parents and heads out to Hollywood in a van to find success. The viewer follows along as he heads to a record label to sign his soul away in order to fulfill his dream. Throughout the clip, we watch as he gets the success he so much craves by appearing on the cover of magazines, attending award shows, and getting notoriety. But like with many Hollywood stories, there is always a dark side to fame.

The viewer watches as puppet Urie gets involved in drugs, alcohol, women, etc. While all this is going on in his life, human Urie appears to his puppet persona in an attempt to get him to snap out of his destructive behavior. The end of the video though, is the part that many viewers may take to heart. It addresses the subject of what it really means to “make it” especially when others are using you for their benefit.

Panic! at the Disco drop stoner-influenced tune ‘King of the Clouds’

With less than a week until the release of their sixth studio album, Panic! at the Disco have decided to give fans one more song to hold them over until Friday. On Monday (June 18), the Las Vegas-founded band premiered another new song from their forthcoming record, Pray for the Wicked. Titled “King of the Clouds,” the new song was written during a weed-induced gathering featuring frontman Brendon Urie, Death of a Bachelor producer Jake Sinclair, and frequent collaborator Sam Hollander just as the record’s deadline was about to hit.

“So this song almost didn’t make the album because it was a deadline issue,” Urie explained to Apple Beats DJ Zane Lowe.

“So the day before the deadline of the record, right, [I] had to have everything in so they can make their plans of marketing, distribution, the whole deal…I had to give them all this information. Around midnight, I get a text and Jake [Sinclair]’s ‘I’m coming over to your house tomorrow.’ Okay. That’s all I get. So I wake up. Seven AM. He comes over around nine and we start working on this song and I’m like ‘Dude, this is the dopest song I have ever heard. This is so cool! What the hell?!”

As it turns out, during a previous weed-induced gathering, Urie was going on about Carl Sagan, the 11th dimension, and showing those in attendance videos about it. While he was discussing this with this guests, Hollander and Sinclair had been sneakily writing down everything the singer was saying which eventually became the lyrics to “King of the Clouds.” Watch the full interview with Lowe here.

“King of the Clouds” will join previously released tunes “High Hopes,” “(F**k A) Silver Lining,” and current single, “Say Amen (Saturday Night)” on Pray for the Wicked. The new record is due out this Friday, June 22, through Fueled by Ramen/DCD2.

In support of the new album, the band will kick off the first leg of their Pray for the Wicked North American tour next month. The trek will begin on July 11 at the Target Center in Minneapolis and conclude a little over a month later on Aug. 18 at the T-Mobile Arena in the group’s hometown of Las Vegas.
