Oppa Gangnam Style icon?
Apparently the people at Korean cosmetics line, Somang, took the style part of the song to heart because the ring leader behind 2012’s most annoying, but also catchy song has been named the face of one of their lines.
Ever since the rapper started to endorse their men’s lotion line, Energy Factory, the company has said that their sales have gone through the roof. According to Somang, they have moved “more than 200,000” bottle of their lotion just one month after Psy endorsed the product. The company hopes that they will be able to move more than a million by the end of this year.
The company followed it up by saying that the lip balm used in the ad campaigns have not only been popular with their target audience (men in their 20s just in case you were wondering), but also men in their 30s and 40s have been buying the product.
Psy reportedly was in on the making of the product from what ingredients were used for it to the packaging of the products and marketing for the products.
As if that wasn’t enough for the Korean pop star, it looks like he will be the face of several limited edition postage stamps too.
