It’s time to put your dancing shoes on and start belting, “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger!” because Kelly Clarkson is taking her show from the small screen to the Las Vegas stage.

On Monday (March 27), the Texas-born singer announced plans to make the Bakkt Theater stage (formerly the Zappos Theater) at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino her home for a few weeks this summer.

Dubbed “chemistry…an intimate night with Kelly Clarkson,” the multi-talented artist follows in the footsteps of many performers such as Britney Spears, Silk Sonic, Adele, and Celine Dion by taking some time to do a Las Vegas residency.

“I am so excited for these shows and couldn’t think of a better place to get back on stage than Las Vegas! The crowds in Vegas are such an amazing collection of people that simply want to have a great time, and that’s what we’re going to do!” Clarkson reveals in a statement.

“So many of my musical idols have had, and still have, incredible residencies on The Strip, and I’m so excited to create my own!”

According to a press release, the show was exclusively created for the Bakkt Theater. Clarkson and her longtime band will immerse fans in “an intimate music experience that spans her two-decade-long catalog of award-winning hits.”

Clarkson’s performance dates (so far) are: July 28, July 29, Aug. 2, Aug. 4, Aug. 5, Aug. 9, Aug. 11, Aug. 12, Aug. 18, and Aug. 19.

Listen to the First 2014 Pop Music Mashup

In less than two weeks, we say good-bye to the year that was 2014 and to think, it feels like it was just yesterday that we were bringing in the new year with so much hope.

Band reunions, anniversary tours, new albums, random music news, and much more have kept us busily writing for you guys (old and new followers) and we would like to thank you for taking a couple of seconds of your day to read a post, like it and even reblog it if you have this year.

As the year comes to an end, we are surely going to begin to see many mash-ups of the year’s most infectiously catchy (and most often than not, annoying) songs of the year.

DJ Daniel Kim who puts out his yearly “Pop Danthology” out around this time is at it again with his mash-up of 66 of the biggest songs of the year.

Check out his 2014 year in review which features songs such as Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass,” Pharrell’s “Happy,” Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off,” Maroon 5’s “Animals,” and many more clocking in at over six minutes.

Listen to the First Mash-Up of 2013’s Hit Songs

2013

UPDATE: One of my favorite mash-up artists, Daniel Kim has recently released his Pop Danthology which features 68 hit songs including “Blurred Lines” and “What Does the Fox Say?”

Since now we have two mash-ups to help summarize the state of music in 2013, which is your favorite?

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

You know that it’s almost the end of the year when mash-ups of all the hit songs of the year start making their rounds on the internet. Thanks to San Francisco’s DJ Earworm, we have the first mash-up of 2013’s hits. The DJ took 25 of the most played and probably on your last nerve songs and combined them together to give us a five-minute look (or sound) at the state of music in 2013.

Check out the video below and lets start the countdown for 2014.
