Saosin to Head Out on Mini-Tour with Anthony Green

saosin

Fans of Saosin, it looks like the reunion featuring former frontman Anthony Green was not just a one shot deal, because it was announced today that the original line-up will be heading out on a mini-tour.

The news of that the Circa Survive frontman would be returning to his former band broke a few months back when Skate and Surf Festival organizers revealed that Saosin would be performing with Green on vocals. For those wanting to see the original line-up, but couldn’t find a way to get to Asbury Park, NJ for the two-day festival seemed to be out of luck, but their wished just might have been answered.

All morning, there had been a rumors on the internet that the original line-up would be taking to the touring circuit with Green in tow. Green confirmed the mini-tour this afternoon when he posted on his Instagram a four-day tour schedule beginning with Skate and Surf on May 17.

For now, the other three dates on the posted schedule are all taking place in California (one in Pomona, one in Los Angeles and one in San Diego), but where else would you have a mini-tour than in your own home state?

The mini-tour and return of the original line-up comes almost eleven years after the release of their breakout EP, Translating the Name.

Original Taking Back Sunday Vocalist Posts 1999 Footage

tbs

Did you know that Taking Back Sunday had a lead singer before Adam Lazzara?

For Taking Back Sunday fans, it might not be a surprise but for others like us, it’s a little weird to not think that the microphone swinging frontman was not their one and only. With that being said, original Taking Back Sunday frontman, Antonio Longo, recently uploaded a video from one of the band’s first shows in 1999.

Lazzara though, was in the band at the time but not in front of the microphone, but rather behind the bass. Look really close in the video posted below. The line-up at the time that the video was shot included Longo, Lazzara, Eddie Reyes, John Nolan and Mark O’Connell. Pretty close tot he current line up.

The current line-up of the Long Island based band are set to release their sixth studio album, Happiness Is… and go out on a co-headlining tour with The Used in support of it beginning on March 14 at the South
By So What? Festival in Dallas.

Following the trend that has become big among fans needing help in funding for a new album, Amber Pacific have jumped on board.

The band Washington-based band revealed over the weekend that they have launched a new crowd funded campaign to help them reach a certain monetary goal to be able to record their fourth album. At the moment, the band are hoping to reach their goal $20,000 in two months.

This album will mark the band’s first record of new tracks since 2010’s Virtues as well as the return of original vocalist, Matt Young. Young had left the band back in 2008.

Big News from The Ataris’ Camp

ataris

Earlier this week, it was confirmed that the Ataris will be heading out on a reunion tour where they will performing their hit 2003 album So Long, Astoria in full.

Another thing making this reunion tour something to look forward to? The original line-up of the band will be the ones heading out on the tour.

So Long, Astoria was the band’s only release through major label, Columbia which eventually went to gold, sealing it as the band’s most successful album to date.

Also adding more good news for fans, the band have released a 54-track playlist on their BandCamp account with demo tracks from the album which can also be download.

While you listen to the demos, you can look over the tour dates for the reunion tour below.
