Issues’ New Album Charts High on Billboard 200

issuesband

Congratulations are in order for Issues.

The Atlanta-based metal-core band managed to break their way into the Top 10 on Billboard’s Top 200, not an easy feat when you’re on a rather small label and really unknown. The band follow fellow record mates, Of Mice & Men who debuted at number four for Restoring Force and last year when Sleeping with Siren’s Feel debuted at number three making Rise Record and up-and-coming record label, quickly.

Reportedly, the band’s self-titled record managed to sell a to sell around 22,000 copies even after they streamed the thing in full the weeks before it hit stores. Credit could go to that publicity stunt of releasing the songs before the fact or their genius idea of taking to Instagram to stream snippets of the songs for fans to hear.

For the band, this is in fact a turning point since it shows a massive increase in sales since their 2012 Black Diamonds EP. But there’s no slowing down for this band. They are currently on tour with Bring Me The Horizon and Of Mice & Men on their North American American Dream Tour. After that, they’ll be heading overseas with Of Mice & Men for their U.K. tour and then return to the United States to participated in the full 2014 Vans Warped Tour.

Not to bad for a band that only have an EP and now a full record under their belt.

Check out their tour dates below.
