UPDATE: Not even an hour after we post up the Spotify streaming of his new album, and Drake has already released the music video for his lead single, “Hold On, We’re Going Home.”

Enjoy.

Drake’s new album, Nothing Was the Same was leaked last week, but the new album has officially been released (like the Kraken) today.

For months, there has been teasers about the new album including the rumor that Drake’s father would be featured on a track, which was later debunked when the official tracklist hit the web last month. There was also that little issue of no official release date being given, but that didn’t stop fans or leakers from getting their grimy little paws on the much-anticipated album.

For those that chose not to ruin the fun by listening to it early, then you can go ahead and the given the critically high praised album a quick listen to below and let us know if the wait, and critics, were on point.

Don’t forget that Drake will be embarking on a North American tour that had been pushed back due to scheduling and rehearsals issues. The newly revamped tour schedule can been seen here.

Drake to Reschedule Upcoming Tour

Those that were hoping that Drake would be coming to a city near you as part of his North American tour, might just have to wait a little longer because it was just confirmed that the rapper’s tour has been pushed back.

Today, Drake’s rep confirmed through a press release that the show has indeed been pushed back  “due to an intense rehearsal schedule and technical production requirements that will be part of the show.

“The 39-city arena tour will now kick off October 18 in Pittsburgh, PA. Stops in Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Cleveland have been canceled due to the rescheduling. Refunds for the cancelled dates are available,” read the full press release.

The newly re-vamped version of the Would You Like A Tour? show will kick off on October 18 in Pittsburgh, PA at the PA Consol Energy Center. Stops for the 39-date tour will include stops in Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and will eventually wrap up on December 16 in  Auburn Hills, MI at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

While the tour has been pushed back, it doesn’t look like Drake is taking the time for granted; the former actor has appearances line-up for the next week. Today, he’s scheduled to perform on The Ellen DeGeneres Show while tomorrow he will be taking the stage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.

But his big week doesn’t end there since his new album, Nothing Was the Same is scheduled to drop on September 24.

Drake Releases New Album Tracklist

nothing

Information about Drake’s upcoming new album, Nothing Was the Same, has been coming out in increments over the past few weeks. First it was the news that the album had been pushed back then there was the release of the album art which features a little kid with a big ‘fro , mostly likely representing a younger Drake and the rapper now.

Earlier this week, it was also announced that Drake’s father would be contributing some vocals to a track. Today, the official tracking list for the album was released and the biggest shock could be that for once, Lil’ Wayne is not featured on the album like it was rumored at one point. The only rappers to appear on the album are Jay-Z and Detail.

Another surprise is that after it was announced that his father would be contributing vocal to “Heat of the Moment,” the song sadly did not make it to the album; “The Motion” and “5 AM in Toronto” which had previously leaked, also did not make it on the album.

There will also be a deluxe version of the album which will feature  “All Me”, his collaboration with Big Sean and 2 Chainz as well as “Come Thru”.
