The Gaslight Anthem announce short ’59 Sound’ tour

Earlier this month, the Gaslight Anthem were confirmed as one of the many artists set to hit the stage at this year’s Governors Ball Music Festival, making it their first show since their hiatus announcement in 2015. Now, it looks like the group is ready to hit the touring circuit once again. On Monday (Jan. 29), the New Jersey-founded act announced plans to hit the road beginning in the spring.

Set to kick off in late May, the Gaslight Anthem’s short, ten-day tour will find the group playing their beloved sophomore album, The ’59 Sound, in full during their sets. Sadly, the tour schedule only features four North American stops; their set at New York’s Governors Ball Music Festival; a show at the Rivera Theatre in Chicago; a show at Rebel in Toronto; and their kick off show at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC. The rest of the tour stops will take place in the United Kingdom and Europe.

Pre-sales for the upcoming shows will begin this Tuesday, Jan. 30, on The Gaslight Anthem’s website. Those who use the code “59SOUND” will get the chance to obtain tickets before the general public. General ticket sales will begin this Friday, Feb. 2.

The band’s plan for the short tour comes almost three years after they decided to go on hiatus. In the summer of 2015, the act surprised fans by announcing their plans to take a break stating that it was in the “best interest of the band.”

“We’d like to recharge and take a step back until we have something we feel excited about rather than going right back to making a record just for the sake of making the next record,” the band members wrote in a post to fans. “We all feel this is the best decision we can make and it feels like the right one for us.”

The complete itinerary for the Gaslight Anthem’s ’59 Sound tour can be seen below.

As anticipated, the band or more specifically frontman Anthony Green, has revealed that they will be heading out on tour this Fall in honor of the tenth anniversary of their much-loved, debut record.

Green wrote on Facebook:

“This fall we’ll be touring North America celebrating the 10 year anniversary of ‘Juturna’ by performing the record in its entirety. It’s hard to believe this album is ten years old because it still means so much to me. It’s the first chapter in the story of Circa Survive and I owe so much to it. Playing these songs is like reading a message I wrote to myself from the past and I can’t wait celebrate them with new and old fans. – Anthony”

The tour will kick off on Oct. 23 at the Best Buy Theater in New York and wrap up a month later at the Starland Ballroom in Sayerville, NJ. Heading out on the road with them will be RX Bandits and reportedly one other band that has yet to be revealed. At the present time, that slot is filled by “TBA.”

In addition to the tour celebrating the tenth anniversary of the album that gave us “Act Appalled,” Circa has also revealed that they  will be releasing a special limited edition 3xLP deluxe vinyl reissue of Juturna. The catch is the number of vinyls that will be pressed for the occasion; 2,500. At the moment, the band have pre-orders going on, so if you want one, it might be time to be heading over there to purchase one.

The deluxe vinyl reissue will contain 34 tracks, three different looking records, and will be housed in a triple gate fold jacket with expanded art. For more information, check out the band’s website.

Also, don’t forget to also check out the tour dates for the “Juturna Tenth Anniversary Tour.” VIP tickets for the show are now on sale while general admission tickets will go on sale beginning this Friday, July 31 at 10 a.m., local time.

Falling in Reverse to Perform ‘Dying is Your Latest Fashion’ in Full

image

Yes, you read the headline right.

Falling in Reverse will be performing Escape the Fate’s breakout album in full during their upcoming Spring Tour.

Former Escape the Fate frontman Ronnie Radke announced the news online. In a statement, he explains that it’s to not only celebrate the impending 10th anniversary of the album, but to also give the fans who never got the opportunity to see those songs performed live (with him as the singer, we assume) the chance to see it.

“I decided to play Dying Is Your Latest Fashion for the fans to experience the 10-year anniversary coming up. I wanted to give the fans that never got to see those songs live an unforgettable experience. Kids should expect a blast of nostalgia and some familiar faces plus their favorite Falling In Reverse songs!”

Familiar faces? We’re curious.

As the official tour poster (can be seen below) states, there will be three acts to every single tour date. Ghost Town will open the show and will be followed by Falling in Reverse performing Dying is Your Latest Fashion. After that, FIR will wrap things up with their own material or “classics” like Radke said.

Check out the full list of tour dates below which will begin on April 24 at San Diego’s House of Blues and end on June 5 at San Francisco’s The Regency Ballroom.

AC/DC to Bring the “Rock” to North America in the Fall

When AC/DC announced they would be releasing a new album last year, talks immediately began as to when the rock icons would hit the road to promote said record. That was quickly answered when they announced a world tour, but somehow managed to leave out the North American portion of dates.

Today, that was quickly remedied when they revealed their month-long tour schedule for North America. The “Rock or Bust North American Tour” will begin on Aug. 22 at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA and conclude on Sept. 28 at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium.

Tickets for the shows will be available beginning Monday, Feb. 16 through Ticketmaster. Check out the list of the stadium tour dates below.

AC/DC’s ROCK OR BUST NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATES:

August 22 – Foxborough, MA @ Gillette Stadium
August 26 – E. Rutherford, NJ @ MetLife Stadium
August 28 – Quebec City, ON @ Plains Of Abraham
August 31 – Montreal, QC @ Olympic Stadium
September 3 – Ottawa, ON @ TD Place
September 5 – Moncton, NB @ Magnetic Hill
September 8 – Detroit, MI @ Ford Field
September 10 – Toronto, ON @ Downsview Park
September 15 – Chicago, IL @ Wrigley Field
September 20 – Edmonton, AL @ Commonwealth Stadium
September 2 – Vancouver, BC @ BC Place
September 25 – San Francisco, CA @ AT&T Park
September 28 – Los Angeles, CA @ Dodger Stadium

The “Rock of Bust World Tour” will be the first without founding member Malcolm Young, who is currently residing in a Sydney, Australia nursing home for dementia. Taking his place is his nephew Stephen who made his debut on this past weekend’s Grammy Awards during AC/DC’s fantastic opening performance.

Also gone form the line-up is drummer Phil Rudd who was arrested back in November on charges of attempting to “procure” the murders of two people and drug possession in New Zealand.

Instead of looking for someone new to take over the vacant drum kit, the band enlisted former drummer Chris Slade to come back. Slade, like Stephen, made his return to the band during the Grammys. In a recent interview, Rudd was optimistic saying that the would be returning to the band, but it looks like they had other plans.

AC/DC’s Rock or Bust was released last December and the official “Rock or Bust World Tour” will begin on May 5 in Holland.

Frnkiero andthe cellabration to Headline U.K. Tour

image

Frankiero andthe cellabration recently revealed they will be heading out on their first ever headlining tour here in North America following a year of playing supporting act for several bands including Taking Back Sunday and The Used.

Now, the band will be taking the show to the United Kingdom for their first ever U.K. headlining tour. Last year, they toured the U.K. as a supporting act for Mallory Knox.

In a statement, Iero said, “I’m really looking forward to taking this full record to the UK in April. When making Stomachaches, I really wanted you to feel like you were listening in on the songs as opposed to listening to them. And I believe the venues chosen for this headline run will support that idea.”

Iero’s North American headlining tour will begin on Feb. 18 at The Studio at Webster Hall in New York and wrap up on Apr. 2 in Iero’s home state of New Jersey at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park.

After that, the band will pack up their stuff and head across the pond for a nine-day trek beginning at The Deaf Institute in Manchester and then wrap up at the Wedgewod Rooms in Portsmouth.

5 Seconds of Summer to Head Out on Headlining Tour in 2015

image

Love them or hate them, 5 Seconds of Summer are one of the breakout acts of this Summer.

Sorry people who dislike them, a lot.

In support of their debut record, the Australian boy band have announced that they will be hitting the North American amphitheater touring circuit.

Insert tween girl screams here.

Though the tour isn’t scheduled to happen until Summer 2015, we’ve seen how fangirls (and boys) start planning a year in advance, so this is good news for them. Touring with One Direction probably helped them learn how to maneuver around all the crazy.

The tour which will feature 28 stops in both the United States and Canada, will begin on Friday, July 17, 2015 at the Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas and wrap up on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the Cruzan Amphitheater in West Palm Beach, FL.

They also announced three headlining shows for this November; one in Phoenix and two at The Forum in Los Angeles.

In other news, the quartets self-titled debut album, reached the crowning spot on the Billboard 200 chart. Not to shabby for only having an EP to promote and two singles (“She Looks So Perfect” and “Don’t Stop”).
